If i do the sr20det swap in a 97 240sx se will i need to relocate the battery to use the greddy intercooler

why would you?
i didnt have to, although i have a much smaller top mount (mounted in front) RX-7 intercooler, but i have 3" IC pipes... should be fine

If you do need to reloacte your battery to the trunk I think it's summit racing that makes a relocation kit. *Here is a pic a battery box in the trunk of Marty King's car.

You can get a small battery and turn it sideways if you want, but the stock battery wont fit with the Greddy pipping. *The piping comes up right through the middle of the area where the battery sits. *I can take a few pics of mine later and post them if you want. *

Moroso sells a box and long cable kit to relocate to trunk. u must use a box in the trunk cuz batteries emit acidic vapors.
