| Zilvia FREAK! ![]() | Well went to the dyno today. Before i post the results, id just like to preface it with the problems. FUEL PUMP!!!!! My walbro must be very tired as ive had it for 5 years, and after 6000rpm fuel presure would drop almost 15 lbs and it would go lean. I couldnt tune it or nothing, just a baseline pull was all i got out of the car, and i couldnt even take it to 7000rpm either. These are the results at 6.5 psi going nasty lean up top with 11 degrees of timing retard for safety till the tuning was done. I did fix the piping in front of the maf so its all 3.5 inches now and i still hit 5.06 volts at redline, this tells me a few thing 1. the motor is flowing enough air to max out the maf 450whp 2. im shocked it made the power i made at 11 degrees retard 3. Its gonna be fast, i would expect this thing to make at least over 420 at 7 psi once its tuned Well enough of my banter on to the results. 6.5 psi ![]() Heres the graph where the fuel pressure started to drop at 6k rpm. ![]()

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | Forget the walbro. I just installed a 255 to replace the 190 I had on my supercharged miata. I'm making 18 lbs of boost on a stock longblock with a dual feed rail, Aeromotive FPR and RC 550s. I was going lean above 6000 rpm too! My tuner told me that my old RC injectors really get finicky if you run more than 45 psi of rail pressure. But I really had no choice. So now I'm at 58 psi of pressure, and will be using dual pierburg or bosch on future projects. I had a little conversation with Corky Bell who has had similar problems. Nice work though! 400+ is assured when it's all dialed in!

| Zilvia FREAK! ![]() | finally got the files off of my old computer.. thought i would post this up, for comparison. Stock 5 speed vh45de, intake, headers and exhaust untuned. vs vortech supercharged vh45de headers and exhaust @ 6 psi. still needs more timing up top imo... ![]()

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | I didn't expect that torque bump to be so linear and fat down low with the centrifugal! And 421 hp in a 240 has gots to be nuts! Is there still more tuning to be done? How's driveability?

| Zilvia FREAK! ![]() | yea i didnt expect the power to be so linear either. Theres a little more tuning to be done as the injectors and maf are maxxed out at this point. I need to upgrade to a ford lightning maf and im gonna go with 740cc injectors as well. I would think with more tuning at this boost level it could peak at 450 whp @ 6 psi. I also have an 8lb pulley and a 12lb pulley i might throw on there laters to see. As for driveability, witih the blow through maf it drives just like if the supercharger wasnt there, nothing wierd.

| Zilvia FREAK! ![]() | and it doesnt really whine till around 6000rpms, in not event in the peak effeciency range of the blower yet, im spinning it so slow to get to 6psi, i had to order a custom 4 inch pulley for the s/c to get it to spin at the right speed. Like i said above there are massive fueling upgrades coming shortly, including -8 fuel lines, aeromotive a1000 pump, 750cc injectors, dual feed fuel rail, new fpr, etc etc. And when that comes around im gonna throw either the 8lb pulley or the 12lb, or maybe buy a new 10lb one, see if i can get it over 500 whp. Another thing is i still have the built heads and cams sitting in my garage, if i throw those on i would expect and increase of at least 80whp, just from the increased lift and duration. Id like to sell them though.

| Zilvia Junkie ![]() | cuz centrifugals like vortechs don't build much boost at low rpm, then just start to scream towards redline. This is normally ideal for a v8 cuz it helps with traction when you're puttn round. So what did she do in the standing mile?

| Zilvia FREAK! ![]() | Well you can see in the vid i hit the rev limiter in fifth right pass the 3/4 mile mark and had to put it in neutral and coast the rest of the way, about 4 seconds worth of time. top speed in 5th at redline is supposed 179 mph, i got 175 so its right on point, with a little taller rear end say q45 3.54 and maybe 100whp more the car would do 200mph in the standing mile no problem.

I am not supercharger expert, so I could be wrong, but what is the temp difference like between Hot/Cold side on the dyno? I would want a much smaller IC (same size piping though) to try to pickup boost asap. So freaking cool. And Tell me about your built heads!

Well the intercooler is doing something lol, the blower is lubed with engine oil and after some driving you can barely touch it , it gets hot, i have no dataloging to back up the info, but after driving you can touch the hotside of the intercooler and feel it warm and the cold side is obvioulsly ambient so i know its working lol. As for the heads. They have custom cams from mazworx, custom supertech valve springs, custom supertech titanium retainers, 5 angle valve job, hand blended bowls etc. (they are for sale btw) heres the specs on the cams stock Duration 240* Intake, 240* Exhaust Maximum valve lift 0.368" Intake, 0.355" Exhaust new cams Duration 272* Intake, 272* Exhaust Maximum valve lift 0.420" Intake, 0.405" Exhaust pics ![]() ![]()

| Zilvia FREAK! ![]() | why not just put the heads/cams on top of your current setup? Im assuming you just want to recouperate some of the cash for your fuel upgrades and of course just run more boost to offset stock cams/heads?
