Now the code is reading  32 instead of 55. Has anyone experianced this code/problem? What was done to remedy it? Any suggestions?

Other then the crappy gas mileage, the car is running fine.

Thanks.

ive never personally had this problem... but a code reading of 32 (erg error) means that somewhere in the erg circuit there is a malfunction. It could be the valve, a bad vacuum connection, electrical connection, or even a bad ecu.  in other words, it could be anything.

turn your car on and go to your egr and push up on the plate your car should start to die out or completely die out. then you can take it off and try pouring some water into the small hole and watch for a leak. these are pretty easy tests to tell you if your egr is bad.

Just for future reference, you shouldn't double post. If you don't see any replies to your topic after a few days, just give it a bump. If there aren't any replies after that, chances are, people dont' have an answer.

ps, welcome to the forums <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Sorry about that. I figured out the problem. Turned out to be a cracked vacuum line. Thanks for all you help.
