Using USDM bumper support for Silvia S13 Swap Write-up

I couldn't find the information I needed on here, so I did it myself and decided to do a short writeup. For whatever reason, some silvia front end swaps don't come with the front bumper beam/support.

Here is what I did to get the USDM 240sx bumper beam to work with the silvia front bumper. Its 100x better than running beamless, like I did for 6 years. 6 years of no bumper beam equals mild sag.

You will need the following tools:
Drill
Cutting wheel/ torch or plasma cutter

The first thing I did was cut the ends of the bumper off to allow for the shallower S13 Silvia bumper as well as the indicator lamps. Here's a pic of where I cut.

Very nice. Thanks for the added input. Maybe it'll save others the hassle of trying to source a JDM bumper support.

Thanks for the write up. I was wondering about this myself as I am collecting parts for my front end conversion. +1

Or you could use the zenki bumper support, it doesnt have those horns you shave off.
