Hey, its been like this since i got my car.  the seat belt is completely out, and it wont retract.  i was trying to figure out how to wind it up, but im stumped.

1990 240sx.

My guess is the assembly is broke, go to a junk yard and get a new one.  Another possibility is that there is something caught inside the retractor.  I don't know if it can be taken apart or not, but you could try.  Every time you get into that car you are putting yourself in danger because of that problem so please get it fixed asap.

the thing is, i cant even figure out how to get to the seat belt assembly. &nbsp;it goes strait to the floor of the car...do the seat and carpet need to be removed? &nbsp;I thought maybe it would be accessable under the car, but no such luck. &nbsp;I think i might drive to the nissan dealership tommorow.

remove the seat, there should be only 4 bolts holding it on, then you may have better luck locating the retractor assembly. &nbsp;Just a suggestion.
