hi.. im still fairly new to the forum.. but ive been a long time reader... anyone know whats exactly in the 89-93 SE sport tuned suspension? was it jus a basic stabilizer bar that we can easily replace with aftermarket stabilizer bars like suspension technique sway bars? wait.. strut tower bars and sway bars are different from stabilizer bars.. i thought stabilizer were jus on the bottom?

I would assume that by stableizer bar they mean sway or anti-roll bar, since that is the type of bar that came stock on the 240sx.  Sway bars are underneath strut tower bars(STB's) are on top.

I don't know s13's that well, so the only difference I can think of on the suspension is that some have only a front sway bar while others have both front and rear.

The sport tuned suspension could be the thicker rear stabilizer bar, because all s13 came with them front and rear, where the s14 se's got both and the base models did not.

In '89-'90, as far as I know it consisted of the "teardrop" alloy wheels with 205/60-15 tires, front lip spoiler, and possibly some other small changes.

In '91-'93, the "sport suspension" was the familiar LSD/ABS/SuperHICAS package.  It also included a faster steering rack ratio, slightly stiffer springs and shocks, and a larger rear sway bar (aka stabilizer bar).

All US S13s have front and rear sway bars.

The '91-'93 "sport package" had a bigger rear bar.

All S14s had front sway bars.  S14 SEs and LEs had rear bars.
