Hi DaimyoBoutique,

This DVD documents the installation of a harness that was prewired by Phoenix Tuning.

We can forward this question to Tech2 or Phoenix Tuning by next week.

so i take it this is a video showing whats needed? and not exactly how to do the harness. also in the first teaser he was talking about what the "kit" included. is there a kit that these guys provide for a certain price and all that is needed is the work and obviously a 2jz motor... and does this company do swaps themselves for the right price? this looks like a good alternative to the over done sr20 swap. and what about drive line. it only requires a custom drive shaft and thats it?

Hi matixx,

This DVD, which is over 2 hours and 50 minutes, documents the installation of the TECH 2 2JZ Swap Kit. TECH 2 swaps 2JZ's and 1JZ's at their shop.

--Plug and Play Harness - 2JZ or 1JZ engine for S13 or S14
http://www.tech2motorsports.com/modu...cda1f9d074c525

A more complete parts list will be up by Monday. Ex. Fuel Lines & Throttle cable bracket. Also, the DVD outline was completed yesterday.

We sell SR20DET and RB25DET Wiring Videos for the S13 Chassis but if we covered the 2JZ Wiring it would have to be a separate DVD to be done correctly.

Please continue to post your questions on this thread.

thank you

Hi Matt,

Are you talking about the wiring DVD? If so, we do not have a new update.

Mechanical should be Lego. Only thing to do would be to send KA and SR harness out for wiring. Was ~$400 last I check which was a couple of years ago.

Questions/comments on swap.
- Smog legal?
- Wiring would have been clincher for many. DVD seems like advertising for that shop and their products - not that it's a bad thing.
- Teaser showing motor/car running would have been killer.

Hey I got the the rb25det dvd....it was great very helpful, clear and simple to follow. My only complaint was that you guy didnt show the car running I would have like to see some action after the swap. I am hoping that you will cover that in the 2jz video. Hey why wont anybody make a rb26dett video already thats what everybody wants

This DVD can be a useful reference for a 1JZ Swap.

"Basically" the same exept for the wiring. Just to be clear, the S14 harness in the video was pre-wired.

i was wondering is there any firewall air hammering required and what did the overall cost of the swap run u guys engine and all the parts to make it run. i'm planning a rb26 swap but the 2jz's parts are more readily available and higher displacement.

Donno if this has been answered before but I'll ask anyway,

1)S13 and S14 chassis(es) are they the same to mount the SR20?
2) are SR20s different from each other in termos of wiring or installation?
3) does the 2JZ pass California smog checks?
4) besides smog checks, is it legal to swap?

1) The MAJOR difference between the S13 and S14 chassis is the wiring
2) Yes, if you have an S13 then visit this link.

"This DVD features all of the SR20DET step by step wiring instructions on the S13 chassis covering S13, S14 and S15 motor installations!"
http://store.driftingshop.com/srwidiindvd.html

3) The answer is most likely no. Please confirm with TECH2 http://tech2motorsports.com/
4) Please ask TECH2 http://tech2motorsports.com/
