lower engine wiring harness

ok so here is the deal. i have installed my SR into my 89 automatic 240 and i finished working on the engine harness. now i started to wire it up and notice that the SR lower engine harness will not match up with my fuse box. what modification need to be made to make this work? or am i suppose to just have that many plugs unused?? thanks alot

Are you swapping to 5spd at the same time you're installing your SR?

yes i got a 180sx front clip with engine and tranny and all wiring. i need to know what modifications need to be done to the lower harness to match the stock fuse box. i know about the starter interlock but that it

you mean the harness for the alt and sp sensor etc?

Use the usdm one as long as the alt plug is the same.

i think.... i am using the sr20det alternator will the KA alternator plug work?

Plugs are all the same but the SOHC lower harness is slightly different due to the length of wiring. Use what you have and just modify as needed. The VSS is not required to rewire, the reverse lights are done just as any swap guide tells you (or on here, I just answered it again a few days ago) and the alternator wiring can be shortened as needed.

ok so the SR and KA wires are all the same just different plugs? so you think i should cut the ends off the KA plugs and attach it to the SR wires?

alright can anyone help me out i have the SR lower harness all wired up to the engine and pluged into the KA fuse box. there is 2 plugs that will not plug in. one has the 8 female connectors. the other one is a plug that plugs into a plug right on the positive battery terminal are these plugs needed to run the car??
