1990 hatch w/ redtop (late model, fins in head).

right off the bat, not getting any fuel or spark.

oil pressure sending unit is not hooked up
power steering lines are not plugged in
none of the tranny plugs are plugged in (reverse, neutral switch, etc.)

the motor cranks but no spark, and fuel pump does not even come on when i turn the key on or when i crank it. but if i send power manually to the pump it comes on so i know its a good pump

other than what i said above, everything is plugged in and grounds are tight
grounded at the head and intake manifold

i thoguht maybe bad ecu, so i have another on its way. but any other ideas?

what am i missing here?!?! im so anxious to get this started

ok start off by checkin if there is a ground signal goin to the fuel pump relay from the ecu. i had this prob b4 and i jus bypassed the ground and ran my own ground from the fuse box to the chassis of the car. the fuel pump fired right up. and for no fuel or spark check your crank angle sensor along with the wiring goin to it. also did you remove the crank angle sensor at anytime and jus popped it back in there if so your ignition will be off and you will have to reinstall the sensor. hope this helps.
