How do we pick the spring rate?
Also, for the subaru sti model, is the rear tophat camber plate or just normal plate?
Thank you very much

The rear tophat is not camber adjustable..only the fronts.
When ordering please specify your rates in the Comments section if you want custom rates.

If you need help picking rates please specify what tire size and compound/brand you will be running, sway bar sizes all and intended usage of the car. We have TONS of AWD car experience. That is what I specialize in

Terry

Thanks Terry!

My car is a 2005 STi with 255 Toyo T1R tires all around. 22mm f and 24mm r sway bar.
I am just a bit worry about the 8k/9k spring rate will give me too much oversteer on my setup.
I mainly use this car as a street/weekend car and once in a while track for fun.

Can you give me some idea on how to setup to make the car stay balance? 8k/7k? 9k/7k? Or?... Thanks!

Honestly with what you have I would go with 8k/9k

If you want to dial out some oversteer and make it even more neutral I would go with a 8k/8k. But just the overall nature and balance of your setup I would not go less then that unless you absolutely love understeer.

I can put any rates you want but I think maybe 8k all the way around is your best bet.

I then would leave it up to your alignment to fine tune your oversteer/understeer.

I would run 2.5k camber up front and 1.5 camber in the rear. Again if you want to dial in some more understeer lower the front camber.

Don't worry...running those rates even with your sway bars is not remotely aggressive and very neutral. On your setup rear rates should always be higher in the rear.
Just to give you an example if you said you AutoXed I would tell you to run 8k/13-14k

And if you tracked more I would tell you to get 9k/11-12k

So with 8k at all 4 corners ...you car will still tend to push and be very very safe and managable on the street.

If you have any other questions please let me know as I love talking about this stuff
