This is less of a "Help me get this back!" post than it is a funny story.

Last summer, I'd parked my Emerald Blue 96' base-model on a street in Boston. The area wasn't great, but I'd parked there plenty of times before with no incident.

This time, I get back, and the passenger-side window is all smashed in. There's glass everywhere. The trunk is popped but not open, all the doors are unlocked, I'm fsking shocked.

I have a big old amp strapped to the back of the folding rear seats. Did they take it?

No. I have a nice head-unit, maybe they took that?

No. Maybe they took something of value from the trunk?

Not a thing.

All they took was a ghetto cable I use to play my MP3 player through the amp, worth about $5 at Radio Shack.

And, best of all,

They left their keys in the car. Bunch of keys, with a big old "24" NASCAR keychain.

I hope they had a good time getting back into their house/car that night. A$$hat.

Long story short,
I called the cops, insurance covered most of the glass-repair, and I still occasionally find pieces of broken glass in the car.

Never trust a NASCAR fan.

That sounds like when my brother told me his car was broken in a parking garage, and the only thing missing was the change in his center console. Though his criminal didn't leave their keys, lol

lol they broke into my CIVIC back when i was in CALI..and all they took was my squash JDM air freshener...WTF...i remember the kid across the street alway come to my car and smell it...lol...next thing u know..i went to his room...lol..it smell like squash ...i know he did it..but he a kid around 13-14 so i let it go .but i warn him

some kids broke into my buddies S14 and took IC piping, couldnt take the car away, so buddy ended up with a busted cluster and column.

you should put a craigslist add or some flyers saying you found some keys in the street and tell them to call you to pick em up.

say

"please call me (girl name here) at XXX-XXX-XXXX if the keys are yours"
