I'm a little unclear about this event (and checking the site didn't help much, either), is this an event intended as practice for advanced drivers, or is it an event appropriate to beginners learning to drift? Or is it both?

I wouldnt drive 7 hours away just to do it, but then again its track time. so its up to you. There should also be an infield area.

Or you could just come to altamont.
They repaved it

the infield is pretty advanced, i don't suggest it for beginner drivers just because of the speed... and the wall.

i'm there, hehe.

yes, there is a lower speed track which is designed for beginners/novice and there is a D1 style course for advance drivers. the event is "practice session only" - limited to 45 drivers.

i dunno if you've been to any events at all, but here in socal, i haven't been to a drifting practice that's just 1 large corner. our advance tracks are very challenging and our lower speed track is designed to naturally initiate drifts and limited to 45 drivers only! to make sure everyone gets good seat time.

Hmm, I may go, seeing as how there's a low speed track. Is there somewhere I can find the tech requirements?
