Yeah I wonder what happened to everybody else. Its currently in S. Texas, 98degrees with 80 -90 % humidity. Can't wait to see what low 80's, upper 70's feel like. I habent felt perfect weather since fall of last year!

People keeping busy it seems. I'm not even close to posting as much as I used too.

Though don't get how folks are talking about the meet being weaksauce now. Chuck Norris comes one day out of 3 years being at the meet spot and everyone calls it quit. That's major weaksauce lol. So far every meet lately we've had more than adequate turn outs and we've even been hosting cruises afterwards so meets are always win for me.

Plus a lot of you don't partake in Round Table nights either. I mean the only person recently to join in the mix who wasn't a regular was Matt "The Noob" (nstabl). The invite is always there for anyone wanting to join. Besides the least we could do is show support to both Round Table and Subway for being very chill about us being there. Eat up bitches

I know what you mean there were many nights I sat at the Round Table by myself and leaving food and grog because I could not finish it all by myself. Even the girl ask where is everybody. So I quit going in there. even thou the food is good and the HEF. is great.

Round table closes at 9pm. Most of the time the door is locked when we get there.

I am down to go to Mr. Al-coholic's friend's Cheesestake place. It's will be a smaller crowd but a much friendlier and warmer crowd. It's cool that we can get 50 heads at, but I really don't know or care nor trust about 45 of them anyway.

THIS WEDNESDAY, I suggest heading to Burbank for cheesestake instead of the Van Nuys location. It's getting burned there anyway.

And Yo bitches need to drive out this way, let's meet in the middle! Burbank!

Burbank is cop central. Not friendly for anything import related. Simply put, Burbank is a no go for our 818 meet.

Unfortunately Al's friend past away last week so the Cheesesteak spot is no longer available. Besides the parking lot is incredibly small and spots are usually taken up as well. I speak from experience as I've dined there several times to gauge parking availability. We're talking 10-15 spots max as they still have customers at that hour. Plus considering how cheap the crowd we have usually is I'm sure only a 1/3 or so (probably less) would actually eat at the place. It's just a not a good idea with the guy that wanted us there no longer being there.

Yes, round table may close at 9 P.M., but we've been staying late at round table for years now. The workers know us and welcome us. They make no quarrel if we order a pitcher late in the night either. I typically always show up after 9 and enjoy a few glasses of beer. Besides, we could make a plea for late night stay if we actually brought a good amount of business to them, but we don't. Again, support them and they'll more than likely return the favor.

We get a great amount of people at the meet. A lot of us are standoffish. Stop standing around in cliques and you'll begin to meet the new guys and find out that they're actually good people. From what I've seen we've all haven't been as welcoming as we used to be in the past. Plus, if we make no plans to meet new people why be a part of a car community that is ever growing. Enjoy the fact that we've had great success at our location and have had limited instances of idiocy.

If complaints are for a more personal vibe then that is the reason for tech days and local BBQs. The Wednesday car meet was set as, and continues to be, a place to get acquainted with fellow 240SX owners and good people overall. Not to mention keeping it drama free. I believe we've achieved this.

Well said Jimbo. I don't know where the hell all this bitchin' and complainig is coming from about the meet being this and that. If you're not happy with it then don't come simple. You're more than welcome to try out other locations. All I know is that this meet is one of the longest running at the same spot. SO WHAT that everyone now and then PD rolls up, or that the local ricers try to burn the spot. That's when it's up to us to protect our spot and to show PD that we're just chillin'. Many times I've put the invite out there to join up for Pizza and Beer before the meet because YES it does close at 9 but only few show up. It's understood people are busy. Some work early the following morning or had school etc. Whatever your reasons are for not making it out that's on you, but don't come on here complaining about the meet. It's getting old real fast.
To those of you who keep comin' out every week and keeping it real I appreciate it as do many others. RT Wed night!

Quit bitching like lilttle girls.... So what if the meet doesnt pop here and there. Some people have lives, work, family, and other stuff to do. Be thankful that these 818 guys try their best to have something going on for us the 240 crowd. Out of all the meets this is one of the most chill and down to earth meets there is out there. If you guys dont like it or you think the meet is weak sauce or what not dont go... Keep in mine some of us are not from the 818 area and gas is an issue. Ill be honest I dont attend the meet every week but I try my best to go out and chill. If it really upsets you do something about it or just stay home!

I agree with you. Some of us at the meet stand around looking pretty and only huddle to ourselves and have become shy, isolated, and unwelcoming to new members.

I am just offering alternatives, in stead of standing at the meet if it is dead, we can go to the arcade, pool halls, restuarants, and other venues. No one is trying to close down or alter the 818 meet, I am just suggesting new ways where we could "meet" but do fun things as well.

Don't be a afraid of change, detach yourselves from the mundane and repetitiveness of life.

I don't know why some people who weren't even at the meet last week have such accurate and strong opinions about the the hell I am talking about.??

818 Meet stays the same. Change not necessary. No need to switch up spots week after week. If people desire to go to a pool hall, arcade, etc. start a weekly or bi-weekly thing on a different night connected with the 818. Much like the Tech Days and BBQ.

All 818 Meet needs is for more people to partake in the activities that are already offered: Bi-Weekly dining at Round Table and after meet cruises.

On a different note, my transmission is making some god awful sounds. I think it's about to take a shit on me. Though I'm hoping it's not the case, it would mean rebuild time. Which means the engine gets a rebuild as well.

Time to look for a reliable unmolested AUTO daily 240. Lincoln stays untouched for now. Got other plans for the ol' timer.

Rich, I'll be there at round table. What time do you plan to get there 8?
