Help me out here, are you going to be in Morrisville, right by Raleigh, or in Mooresville, a bit west of there?
I have friends who live in the former, but do not know a soul in the latter.

*quick edit*
Iredell county, according to Wikipedia

I live in Morrisville. It's a bit pricey, but as with anywhere I'm sure you can find a decent deal if you look hard enough. I don't worry about my car getting stolen or broken into very much, although I keep it garaged now.

My mistake, Owen, in my post I accidentally typed Morrisville twice, he is going to be in Mooresville... I have a friend who stays in Morrisville in a new apartment complex, he works for Ericsson and lives like a mile and a half from his job.

if you're used to MD, you can probably ride a bike here in nov. Our winters are a little more like fall to you guys, just a little wetter.

sorry to bring up a kind of old thread.

do you need a cat in north carolina if i wanted to register my cars there. i have a test pipe on my 240 and header with a cat delete on my altima. i dont want to have to drive them all the way back for emissions in md. they both will and have failed lol.

+1 to 2 year waivers

What year? if you have a cat looking test pipe and can pass visual and its earlier than 95, you shouldnt have to worry abt a sniff test

just go try to get it passed, its not like they'll take your car

Welcome to the area, Mooresville is a very nice area. I hope to settle down in that area (Lake Norman) soon.

I'm just curious though. What are you planning on doing with the "NASCAR" school? If you hope to do anything with NASCAR or racing, you will be wasting your time. You are better off going to the local community college (Rowan-Cabarrus Community College) for their Motorsports Management program. NTI is good for dealer tech training, that's about it. I know a good handful of people that have been extremely disappointed with that institution. Just a heads up before you commit to spending so much money.

in md where i live we dont have any kind of performance classes for cars. if you talk people and have connections it helps out. my mom's b/f cousin works for himself building engines for teams (not nascar) delievers them himself and makes bank off of it. i really want the fabrication classes and the pit crew is just a bonus. might as well do it while i have a chance. if i dont get a job for a team or working down there for a company then, i have a job lined up if i come back to md.

I know its a little late but I bought my bike last november and rode it all winter lol. Gotta love the off season deals but your hands might get chilly at time. I learned to reach down and put your hands on the crankcasing to warm them up
