Driving/racing gloves
Before I start I searched forever and couldn't find a thread on this that wasn't from like 2007, so I'm starting a new one seeing as a lot has changed since then.
So I've been browsing around lately looking at what driving gloves I wanna buy for drifting. I have seen way too many and probably not even close to them all. I just want some info on what your preference is and/or what you have tried and liked/disliked. Post em up! |

I have the Racequip 350 gloves. Super plain, super simple, super cheap. I have been using them since Nov/Dec last year and other than being a little dirty they are still perfectly fine. For the price, I like them. I have been considering snagging a pair of the new Shirtstuckedin gloves tho

Kid's Heart Mechanics gloves... are they driving gloves? Nope. Do I care? Nope. Are they rad as hell? Yes.

If race only... suede wheel + leather gloves is a fantastic level of grip. I use the $60-$70 sparco ones.
If a DD, I'd get a wood or leather wheel w/ leather gloves... They're waaay less vulnerable to grease, moisture, and sweat from your hands than the suede wheels.

FYI, floves are needed to drive on a track here in Japan.
That being said, what is the reasoning behind needing them? Prevent little cuts if your window shatters or burns if your car catches fire? Shirtstuckedin gloves look pretty cool and Juran gloves are sold over here locally for like $50ish. Not sure about using leather gloves even though I have a suede wheel. |

Main reason to get them is for track use, but want them to be able to drive with anytime I take my 240 out so I'm used to them. It's not a daily so it doesn't go out much on the streets

Ebisu doesn't make you wear gloves...None of the tracks do in the Tokyo area either like Fuji Speedway, Tsukuba, or Nikko. What tracks do you go to? |

^^^ Those weren't hard to find at all. Just would rather have real driving gloves just in case I need them for a real event at some point in the future, where they are required.

I would say try the leather driving gloves, they will serve you well. I have two pairs of Riparohttp://www.amazon.com/Riparo-Genuine...3571317&sr=8-8 and I like them.
