Finally got some more work done on the car..
Out with these In with these Some special guy installed the suspension on the subframe before loading it onto the car and forgot to put the bolts in the correct way so I had to cut the heads off to get the LCA's off. (im the special guy) Also even though I'm trying to sell the S14 I always find myself buying more shit for it. More work on the S14 tomorrow. |

So I spent the last couple of weeks slowly adjusting my suspension to get more angle. I extended my LCA's about 1.5" to get more clearance.
You can see in the pic where the wheel was rubbing the sway bar. Also I guess my steering rack bushings were never upgraded. I thought I did it years ago but when I was adjusting the toe I noticed that I could move the rack by hand! This probably has a lot to do with the floaty feeling the car has always had while going straight. I have new offset rack bushings coming but I had some suspension techniques laying around that were for my S14 which I threw on there. |

Damn they really should start making those and selling them. Nice to see you got them working.

Spent the last 2 weeks dialing in my suspension. Extended the LCA's and man what a difference! I have 10° more angle easy and the car is more predictable than ever. I only spun once yesterday and Thunderhill and that was on shitty tires. Love my car.
Zero problems, day of win! Check the video! |

I'm not sure of the total length. I basically took a plum bob and measured from end to end and made sure they were equal. The number didn't matter so much to me as the clearance was the main issue. I have the eccentric bushings on order but I don't have them as of yet. I'm running as low of caster as I can to help with over-centering and so far its working pretty well.

Two questions?
1. when you did the shoot for that site, they said you destroyed your front bumper. Where did you get a replacement? 2. When you took your car to get the frame checked was your front off. Ive been reading its a big problem on s13's and on mine. I was just going to get adjustable front lower control arms in the front and try to counter it. But Im beginning to think this isnt going to fix it. My drivers side sticks out further than the passenger side.
