The 86 seems to be the least satisfying for powerplant reasons, yet it places in the middle of the pack. Ahead of the M2. What the fuck. On the other hand, it's cool to see basically a turbo'd Miata with suspension tweaks make it that high up that list.

Toyota would sell more 86's if they just threw the IS200t motor in there.

Or if Mazda just put the 2.5 turbo from the CX9 in the Mazdaspeed Miata it would probably be the best performance car for the buck on the market. It would be hard to argue with a Miata with 250hp and 310ft lbs.

The whole test is a joke. First off the Fiat only puts out 165hp a fucking FiST stomps it right Into the ground HP and TQ wise in fact that is what had people liking the FiST over the GT86. In fact all the complaints about the GT86 go right back to its lack of TQ . If it had it it would be great but instead it's a TQ'less wonder.
The M2 would destroy the Fiat as well. Once again Jon Lieberman shows he is the tool he has always been going back to to the Sport Compact
car magazine days and his poor attempts at being a 240sx fan.

It pretty much shows also once again Motor Tremd misses but I am not surprised about that it's fucking Motor Tremd which has always been a poor excuse for a car enthusiasts magazine.

The Focus RS is pretty dope as well and for it to lose the Fiat? I think there was a priorities issue going on with this test.

While it definitely isn't, a lively, spirited motor is. 155lbs of torque does not feel lively.

Lmao. Yeah, his camera didn't adjust the colors correctly till about halfway through the video. I got 15% tint all the way around which is not legal for the front windows in Florida, in the rear its perfectly fine. I drove my S13.5 with the same exact tint for 6 years, never had an issue, so we will see how this goes.

well folks... all im gonna say is that we are witnessing the very fast and sad fall of the manual transmission from Japanese automanufacturers!


just like i was told in 2008 about why the R35 GTR wasnt released in stick, "we can sell every automatic, we cant sell every manual... just boils down to marketing and money"
