Have fuel, spark but no start

So I was driving the car home the other day. Pulled away from a stop and bam the car just shut off. Towed it home and broke out the FSM.

When digging in, I found my CAS pigtail has 2 broken wires. I thought “awesome this is it”. Fixed all of them and plugged it back in and sill no start so I turn the FSM.

Did all the diag procedures for the CAS and the fuel pump. Then the normal stuff. Verified I have fuel - fuel pump primes and I verified visually by letting it prime into a container and by smelling the plugs. Verified I have spark and injectors are firing - pulled the CAS and spun by hand with key set to ON while grounding a plug and listening to injectors. .

Pulled codes. Naturally I have a Code 11 (and also a Code 34, but that one I’m not worried about at the moment). But no others.

Fuel pump is new. Dist is new. Plugs are new. Wires are new. Car ran great before the CAS pigtail broke. Could it be that in that failure, since it was in the midst of running when that the connector must have broken, that something else in the ignition system was damaged?

So what now? I’m totally at a loss.

EDIT: It’s an 89 s13 coupe with a SOHC DOHC swap.

Maybe something shorted when the wires blew apart. Check all the fuses and report back

Thanks for the reply. Nothing shorted, I just made rookie mistake and installed the distributor mis-timed.

Found compression TDC, aligned the distributor dimple, installed and all is well now.
