Make sure the ECU connector is fully seated. We have seen an issue similar to yours where the customer thought it was seated fully but turns out it went in at an angle and was millimeters from contact. Also, the engine will crank even without an ecu installed.

Quick overivew of the car:
- S13 KA24DE
- T28 Turbo (wastegate pressure ~5-6 PSI)
- Stock KA24DE MAFS
- Subaru STI 550cc Injectors (1050uS latency)
- Looking to get 200HP
- S13 ECU with Type3 Feature Pack board

Im having an issue where the injection time is slow to catch up with the fuel map. When doing full throttle run, the AFRs stay lean until, what seems to be a random point, then step down and get to where they are supposed to be (see picture). At that "step" point, the car finally feels like it has power. Looking back at the log, you can see the injection time doing a massive step up (orange line), at which point AFRs richen up and get to where they are supposed to be (green line) and the car comes alive.

Has anyone ever encountered this?

I havent had nistune open in a long time, but there is an injection puslewidth limiter that needs opened up to 255. It can be lower than 255 when you have a reason, but 255 should be fine

Thats not what I wanted to hear from someone who knows the answer to my problem

The only map I can think of being close to what you are talking about is the "TP_MAX" map which RPM VS Max_TP_that_you_should_be_able_to_reach_when_at_th at_RPM.

It sounds counter intuitive updating this map considering I scaled everything via K-constant and Total Injection Multiplier to fit within the OEM TP Limits of the Fuel and Timing maps.

Any more bread crumbs you can send my way about the name of this "solves all my problems" map?

Thank you again

You should really ask this kind of question on the nistune forum.

As for what you are seeing, a lot of things can drive that.

1: at the point you are describing, has it enough load to drive it out of close loop zone on the fuel map? if not, sounds like you will have to scale your TP to move it away from the close loop zone or just edit the map to do away close loop in that load area.
2: TP min and TP max like you described.

I have a similar setup but with z32 mafs. I could send you my tune if you want to compare any maps. Tough to find a decent ka-t tune out there to compare to.

1. Yes, I am outside the closed loop area of the fuel map. I adjusted via K-Constant to make sure the TP does not go outside the Fuel/Timing map, and adjust the fueling via Total Injection Multiplier, then modified the fuel cells individually for boost.

2. Ill try setting TP Max to maximum numbers and see what happens.
Ive posted about this on the Nistune Forums and Matt is having a hell of a time trying to figure out what is going on here.
