** drag zilvians chime in**

Ok first off I dont want to have anyt grip/drift is better etc non-sense

This is for our fellian Nissan'ians to share suspension set ups , engine set ups etc.

NO how fast is my car questions..

In my case i am currently doing a DD S14 that i plan on laying down solid 11's in full street trim.
right now its a S14 SR on 15psi
Walbro 255
FMIC
coming soon is a To4E with plans on around 20psi on the street/strip...

my drag/street car being built is a 72 Datsun 1200, already fitted with 8 point cage woth reworked tubs. working on rear diff right now.

again no drift/grip this is for the drag people to come in and enjoy.

Can we ban all thread that read the following?

1 How Fast is my car?
2 How much power is my car?
3.How much is this worth?
4.How much drift is this?
5.How much smoke will this setup make?
6.How much death will I inflict when I lose control of this sh*tbox and kill people trying to be F&F3/4/5/&6

etc...

And from a Drag guy...you should know, it's all up to your left foot and your right hand. (if you're in the US) go runt he bish, then come here for feedback not the other way around.

People ALWAYS ask me, "how much power will this setup make?"

Well it will make "500 hp if it was built by hand by HKS in Japan in a vacuum"

But built by you snorting blow all weekend, not sleeping, cutting your hands up and using 20 year old hand me down tools and using Air Cond Ducting for an intake and PVC piping for IC pipes? It will make ??????, I wont know until I get the rollers going.

Same line of thinking....

Drifting isnt the only thing our cars can do , HP isnt everything, suspension tuning and driving skill is key to getting the most out of a car be it high power or low power.

so those who want to say this is pointless, well your post is pointless in the purpose of this thread!

for drag racing purposes: stock springs or hks drag coils. the majority of other coilover systems are just too stiff and do nothing more than wheelhop or blow the tires off.

dont mess around on street tires. get some drag radials at least and stop ruining the track for everyone else who has drag radials and slicks

as far as motors go, its all personal preference/budget.

as far as launching goes that all depends on your motor, your suspension, your tires etc.

there are too many variables

im not a big drag person but ill tell you what i have seen or experienced.
A stock suspension S13, Mostly stock redtop, with decent street tires can pull a solid 2.0 60 foot.

Most people i have seen with a Kaaz 16 plate and supension, and DR's can pull 1.8 60' pretty easy and 1.7 is very possible. Again with a mostly stock SR.

I was pulling 2.0's and running 13.70's
Simular S13 with a mostly stock SR, kaaz pulled 1.7 60' and ran 12.40's
The exact set up i dunno. But this shows what small changes can do as far as drag racing. This thread could be very useful if there was enough info shared.

Three tenths off your 60' and it will make a dramatic overall difference in 1/4 miles times.

From my understanding there is some restriction because of the Indy rear suspension, with a solid axle i could see a 1.4

I doubt that guy stuck with the IRS.

I'm making 487hp with a built s13 sr20.
T3/t04e precision turbo
38mm tial wg with dump
on hand me down 245/50/r16 nitto drag radials that are wore out but all I have
I have ran a best of 11.93@ 121 with a horrible 1.9 60'foot time which is also my best. I just put a new stage 4 spec clutch and bee*r setup on a button as a launch control.( making just over 5psi at the line) Tried it over the weekend and did absolutely horrible with a best 60' of 2.3. Hoping it was a fluke and that I havent gotten use to the clutch yet. I'm in dire need of some new rubber, any suggestions?

Funny thing about that 240sx coupe pic is he's redlighting lol.
I always wondered what my setup would do in the quarter, but I never make a day to pay someone to time me at the strip. I should because people ask, but whatever.
