Yup, there has been some progress to it!

She is finally blue again! Paint job is 80% done. Wet sanding, clear coat and she is ready!

Also I picked up the canards & diffuser parts from the paint job since they were ready and picked up adjustable camber arms too! Backside of the parts need to be painted black too, but I can do it myself since I want them to be matte.

Well she is looking great today! Just some small bits need to be done before I am taking her to my first car show. She will be a rolling chassis, but they said that it is alright!

Thank you for not listening to 90% of the people on this forum that said your wheel set up was dumb. This car is awesome!

That flake is insane. And those rear tires give me hope, im trying to fit a slightly taller rear tire and these look to fit nicely. Car came out great, color scheme a little out of my taste but well executed.

Hahaha, thank you! I am still (sadly) running those 1"/25mm spacers on rear and 2"/50mm on front. I still need to get rear spacers done to get a correct match of poke. I know, spacers suck, but I do not have enough money yet to redo my wheels with different setup of inner barrels and lips. I am not going to drive with 2"/50mm spacer tho.

The flake really is insane when you see it in real life! The color scheme is really flashy, so it will split opinions.

I took a video on my iPhone when I was taking pics and here you can see how nicely the flake works. Sorry for messy garage.

I knew the haters couldn't keep you down.
Good job, brother!

Moving along quickly. An Juuso will eventually swap, just Boost-up CA18 is enough power for first timer.

I'm curious what he will choose when the swap does come??

The body is pretty much ready. Still needs small work to get it 100% done.
Engine, transmission and wiring is still missing. After I get the body 100% done and I come back from the car show, next thing is to strip wiring open and remove everything from it what I do not need.

Thank you! And very true, but I still do not have license and almost zero driving experience, except drifting my BMW e36 on ice track.

Thank you! I would love to do a 2JZ swap, but I have to find out is it even possible to get 2JZ S13 street legal in Finland.

People feel bad being mean in the owners' build threads because it is a lot more personal, plus many do not browse this section of the forum.

Thank you! Not yet, I gotta do some research what turbo to use and what are the weakest points of CA18DET before rebuilding it. I have heard that water pump and oil pump change is a must. Also injectors, fuel pump, fuel lines and fuel rail upgrade is needed to get 300rwhp.

It's a shame that the aftermarket parts for CA18 are rare. Intake manifolds, exhaust manifolds, turbo kits, intercooler kits etc.. There is not much where to choose. :/

Only question, is this going to be your daily driver when you get your license? If so, Im concerned about the paint behind the flares and curious what your plan is. Nice job though, especially for a kid.

Finally a video that shows the flake pretty nicely!
https://vimeo.com/160590633
For some reason I can not get the video show up in here...

___

I am taking a little break from the car and do next plans! Maybe all the CA parts need to be sold and RB20 bought.. Gotta plan what I'll do....
