z32 rear sway bar on s14

Just as the title say. I have searched forever and cant find anything. Will a z32 TT rear sway bar bolt onto a s14? I would assume since the knuckles are different they wouldn't. Just wondered if anyone has actually tried it.

knuckles dont really have anything to do with the swaybar...

why are you trying to cheap out and get a Z32?

a J30 bar fits, as does several brands of aftermarket ones, that will fit like OEM...

if you have the z32 bar, measure the distance between the end-link mounting points. then jack up the car and compare that measurement. also note the shape of the 2 bars and the chassis mounting points to see if it will work.

The z32 rear subframe is a significant amount wider than s-chassis. This is the reason I doubt it will fit.

I put a z32 rear sway bar on an s14 that I had and my friend put one on his too. It wasn't an exact fit but we made it work. It just mounts the endlinks a bit wider than a stock bar. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly what we did to make it work because it was a while back. I only used it because the car didn't have one and I had this one laying around. Not a perfect fit, but it was way better than nothing.

Stock bar is best, no reason to upgrade or change.

@ Cody... I thought consensus was the J30 bar was a better rear bar for a lowered s14?

Almost as stiff but lighter than the s14 bar so the car doesn't pick up the inside rear wheel...

Jesus, you're too lazy to take a simple measurement. It takes like 5 minutes. 240 kids these days, FUCK!!!

In what possible manner would the weight of the bar affect how much it picks up the inside wheel?

If you're picking up the inside rear wheel your swaybar is not likely the issue, unless it's like 2" thick. I picked up the inside FRONT wheel on my old S13 track car, NEVER the rear.

There is no real reason to upgrade the rear swaybar on s-chasis cars. You want the flimsy stock rear swaybar to help the rear tires hook-up better on the throttle, YES EVEN FOR DRIFTING. Gone are the days when drift cars were set-up to slide as easily as possible. Now-a-days people are searching for more rear grip so they can push crazier angles and entry speeds.

But yes, the rears do swap over between z32 and s14. My brother took the rear bar off a roller NA z32 I bought and put it on his s14 (his s14 was a base model so it didn't come with one). I looked at some posts on z32 forums and the the NA & TT bars are completely interchangeable with zero problems.
On my my brother's s14, the right hump of the sway bar would rub up against the gas tank ever so lightly, but he is also "hellafatillestswag" so you might have more room to work with. However, the TT bar you have is thicker than the NA bar so you might be cutting it close too. Remember, s14 fuel tanks are plastic, so if you knock the fck out of the tank with the sway bar, it could crack your fuel tank. Just something to think about.
