If you're building a custom distribution box, you should match the factory fuse sizes for everything. You shouldn't ever use a fuse between the starter and battery. The starter draws 120+ amps and would blow fuses instantly.

I don't remember the exact fuse I used, sold that car 11 years ago, but definitely use thicker 0 or 2 gauge wire. |

+2 on 1/0 Welding Wire. Then I ran my ground from the battery in the back of the trunk through the vent on Passenger side and bolted it to the frame of the car. By doing this my started does not drag at all. Do it right the first time.

check out http://www.sonicelectronix.com for a good distribution block and just run a 150amp circuit breaker between your battery and the distribution block, thats what i did works flawlessly
