Also. . . if you're going to go aluminum 5.3, please remove the displacement on demand. Those engines sound so horrible on 4 cylinders at idle. Plus the fuel savings (are you really even concerned about that if you're doing a swap?), are minimal since you're putting the engine into such a light car.

Heads are stupid easy to pull on a V8 also, you can do all kinds of head work for stupid cheap on these too, AND install the heads in an afternoon.
