Cooling Problem

Hey guys I've been setting up my SR20DET which I bought as an incomplete project. Unfortunately there's some missing parts, and I had to make this cooling step-down reservoir to get the engine to turn over without spewing coolant. Now that the car runs I need to replace it with a legitimate part, but I'm not sure what will work. Please let me know if you have any advice!

I have looked around and none seem to have a port for the black line feeding into my little home made thing, they're just solid pipes

There is no hole in that to splice in the other line
I had the same hose but made the other line fit by making the reservoir
If I installed this the line currently spliced in would spew coolant everywhere

Maybe the coolant line is supposed so go somewhere else? I installed it first normally with regular radiator hoses and couldn't find a spot for the line

It's doesn't go into the lower radiator hose. It connects back under the intake.
Here is the diagram:

I think you may have highlighted the wrong line actually. The one I am referring to comes out of the block by the fuse box, alternator and the intake manifold, and the one you have highlighted is right by the turbo
Here is a picture for reference on its location

That coolant hose is suppose to be one continual piece. The throttle body coolant line that's attached to it, connects somewhere under the intake manifold. Find the missing connection and install the TB line on to it.

Okay I ordered a new radiator hose and plan to install it once it arrives
I'll look for a missing connection under the intake manifold for the hose I have currently spliced into the radiator hose. Do you think this other hose (which is capped off at the moment and circled in the picture) also connects under the intake manifold? I'm trying to figure out where my remaining cooling lines go with the diagram posted but it's confusing to me.

No, that's a vacuum connection.
