KA S14 cams in S13 head

I have been trying to get my 240sx going again. So I rebuilt the engine and i had to use a s13 head because the shitty aluminum head (stripped the idle sprocket while torquing it to spec). I didn't have cams for the s13 head so I used the s14 cams. I got it all in made sure the cams were set parallel to each other. go to start it and I hear 1 misfire and after that just the engine cranking. I have fuel and spark. I have taken it off and put it back on about 20 times. I was wondering if the cams are different or go in different than the s13. I am just trying to save myself 1000 bucks.
