Rb20 ecu question

Can anyone tell me if these two ECUs are interchangeable? First one is MEC-R126 1 (23710 04U01) and the other is MEC-R212 B (23710 11U00). First one comes back as an 89-90 RB20DET which is what came with my engine. Second one comes back as 91 & up RB20DET S2

I found this is site but does this mean that only the 23710 04U02 is compatible?

Any input would be appreciated. Trying to get my car running correctly asap
