ARC coil pack cover and HKS oil cap looking really good together. Love how the purple on each part matches up perfectly together. In the picture the purple on the coil pack cover looks lighter, but in person both purples look pretty close.

This weekend I was able to get a lot done...routed the wiring harness, installed the abs and brake lines, a/c lines and a lot of other little things. Most everything that is left is little stuff except relocating the battery and trimming the bumper for intercooler piping.

This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. How did a company like Tomei miss this. This is a JDM chassis too...not sure what to do at this point. It's prob either change to a different design or smash a dent in it to clear it.

Maybe it's not meant for the s15?

I just reached out to Tomei USA and they are going to talk to their Japan team to see if they have run into this issue before. I would expect them to refund me money for this part since I won't be able to run it if they can't figure it out.

I can't see what its rubbing against? Heater hose? Could be because of the HKS Manifold. For example I know you can't use a PBM downpipe with a Tomei manifold.

But it's a stock location manifold...I wouldn't think it would affect it. It shouldn't be any different than running a stock manifold. And dang I didn't know you can't run a PBM downpipe with tomei manifold. Any reason why?

Its hitting the a/c drain hose. Normally on a USDM car, the drain is on the other side.

It pushes the turbo back towards the firewall causing the pipe to hit the transmission. I'm not sure if this issue was fixed, but that was an issue when they first were released.

That is the only thing I can think of with your issue. Hopefully Tomei comes through!

I contacted PBM about this back in 2010. When I went to install the Cobra downpipe with Cusco solid engine mounts and a Tomei exhaust manifold, the elbow hit the transmission. I had to heat it up and take a hammer to it to make it clear. I think I am the source of this always being talked about on the forums.

Not sure if they fixed the issue or if it was something isolated with my setup. I am running a Cobra downpipe again now but with a stock turbo manifold this time around.

Hopefully Tomei will refund me money for this crap so I can go buy a cobra downpipe because it looks like tomei extends out further before turning down whereas the PBM one turns down immediately. I would hope the PBM fits better.

I am purchasing a S13 Coupe as we speak. I think this is the culprit to the strange harmonics I am getting from under the car. Its related to RPM (2500-3200) in every gear. I see clearance around the firewall and Cobra DP but I haven't looked closely at the relation to the trans housing. I am running the stock mani with GTX2867R turbo btw. Any specific area to look for?

keep up the good work...
Lucky guy to have this car but I'm confused did Motorex claim they crash tested S15's too and brought this car to US compliance? If that was the case wouldn't this car now have rear reflectors?

I'm not here to start a legality batle but if it's 100 percent legit I'm super jelly

My tomei dump was touching the same hose on my 180sx. I think its due to the actual size of the dump itself. I was on a stock manifold btw. I just trimmed the hose as i dont have working AC atm.
