Sideways Z31

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and thought I would introduce myself and my car. I have a 1988 300zx that I am in the process of rebuilding. This is my third Z31. I have a 85 NA motor that I preformed a NA2T swap on. My plan is to put this motor in the 88 chassis. I have a few upgrades that I have purchased and cant wait to throw into this car I have a Mishimoto front mount intercooler a HKS SSQ limited black edition BOV. I plan to start this motor off with stock boost for a while but after I have made sure that everything is in proper working condition. I plan to up the boost to 12psi. My plan for the car is to have this as a solid DD and able to drift on weekends. I have located myself a kaaz LSD out of a 1990 240sx se. I am swapping the LSD into a new housing that I am purchasing. Well time for some pic of the car!

Here is a pic of my exhaust that I picked up from CMperformance

Here is a pic of my Mishimoto front mount

And here is the BOV

Well I am going to start prepping the chassis tomorrow so more pics then!

Okay well I am having a very slow start on this project and was hoping to get a sooner start. I have a few questions for any of my readers. I'm purchasing a Cusco MZ 1.5 LSD for this car and was wondering if anyone has any experience with this diff my plans are to swap it into the R200 open diff housing off a 1986 Z31 and swap the companion flange on the drive shaft to make it fit. Any comments on this or any helpful suggestions?

So got a little more work done to the 88 turbo today. So far I have half of the interior out, the top half of the motor is off, and the motor is all disconnected from everything except the motor mounts. Tomorrow I should be able to pull the motor. I also managed to pull the old exhaust off and I shot a few pics of the size difference. Here are some pics of the exhaust.

Here is a pic of the new paint on the pully's from the motor it changes color from blue to green to a really nice purple. I plan to use this color for the framing, roll cage, and suspension. That will be at a later date.

Got the motor pulled today. Also managed to get the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel off the 88 turbo motor. I have started prepping some of the engine bay for the new motor to go in. I plan to have this running sometime next week. I hope that all goes smoothly. I have busted a few rusty bolts. Here are some pics of the engine bay.

Here is the motor I pulled.

Here is the motor going in.
