Cel Code 35: California: Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor: Ka24e ?

Looking for any others who have gone through this with this code before.

My 240 is a 89' ka24e, originally auto, so the sensor is in the auto location up top on the intake manifold.

Car has been swapped to manual, and still has original auto ecu.

I have cel 35 and 45 (injector leak) - Just trying to figure out what I should do with this sensor?

Clean it? Put it in the manual location (in the back by the egr stuff)? Or just buy a new one and put it in the original location?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, need to get smog done very soon!

I just replaced the auto ecu with a non california 5 speed ecu. That fixed the issue.

I think u might be able to put a resistor in there(harness connector) to get the the code off.
You can get the fsm to get more info on testing the sensor and the wiring.
