i've had the harbor frieght one for like a year, its well worth the $80-90. It actually can get to my cars frame frails without driving up onto wood beforehand. And that says a lot, as my car is SLAMMED.

i have two harbor freight jacks. for $80 bucks its a steal! get one now!

seriously it has very low clearance, and its relatively light. the only bad thing is the jack doesn't go as high as i would like it to. but i have a crapsman suv jack for that.

I bought the aluminum lightweight jack at HF. Turned out to be an awesome jakc, and isn't too bad to throw in the back of the car.

i like my craftsmen, light and low. Not low enough to under my car and my car isn't even slammed. ITs still all about ramps or jack under the core support.

craftsman jacks suck. Friend had one, after 1 year it started randomly refuse to work, and after 2 years stopped working alltogether.

He now had an Arcan jack (@ costco ~$80) for a year, and is really happy with it. I purchased it 4 months ago myself, and am very pleased with it so far.

i use the alum one from harbor freight too. theres still about 2-3" of clearance when i lift the crossmember on stock suspension, so it should be good for moderately lowered cars too.

vegita: ive never seen a jack lift to its complete height in a couple pumps under load, only when its free.

Dunnow, my friend owned a $50 dollar craftsman one and it took a crap on him. Maybe yours is a little higher quality?

BTW, that arcan jack gets under a car lowered with s techs pretty easily. both upfront (crossmember) and rear (differential).

I got a costco one for like $80.
The quality seems to be good and it's like 110 lbs.

EDIT: I think the price is $69.
It's been a while so I got confused.

i also suggest the costco arcan jack (awesome garage jack, but bad if you need to take it in and out of a car a lot)

dual pump for quicker lifting
3 and half ton rated
69 bucks
very low (3 and a half inches or something at the lowest, you can get it lower by removing the plate) and it raises very high as well.

has the price gone up since i bought mine? i remember paying 69 or 70

?

Milaukee... best jack ever, our shop has four of em, profesional shop grade. 500-1500 depending on load capacity.
edit: btw i got mine from my Mac Tools distributor, he threw in 4 Mac jackstands with every jack.

OTC is a good strong jack, but sits high, made more for heavy duty. 300-500. on a side note our air operated one goes for about 350, very low clearance but requires air.

dont laugh, but checkers has brand name powerbuilt, allum. one is about 150-200, same as craftsman allum. but better made, (crapsman one gets stuck on bottom once in awhile). i just mention this because i needed a jack and i was stuck by a checkers and bought it, turned out to be my favorite house garage jack. cant lift more than 2500lbs though,( thought it was gonna blow up when i lifted my old s10).
