Update!!! "Stay'in Alive"

Long time eh guys?!

I can assure you i've been Busy!!!

I spend most of my mornings planning, organizing....making lists..and following up on previous projects, promo, next seasons deals and works. Parts coming in....parts being repaired, absolute musts...and "wish List" things that Need to be done to the wolf.

This past year was a reflection of spreading myself just a little bit too thin. I broke my car more often than drove it...and I wasn't able to put in the time needed to properly have her set up and solid from the get go. Always chasing little issues that were always the product of inadequate install, or rush jobbing something.

Good thing is I learned the Hard way...Bad thing is I learned the hard way haha. Luckily my engine is in excellent shape and the worst is some damaged wiring, a water line and some heat protection product. Again and always thanks to PTP turbo for providing all the product that saved my engine bay from a blown out Gasket.

This last dyno session I made a judgment call because I was dead set on making it to the Super D USA Event. Knowing I had a turbo gasket leak..I continued.. telling myself "It'll Hold." Against Abels Advice... we dyno'd anyhow. The car made 430 and 360 tq at 18lbs of Boost all the way up to 9200RPM. I figured I'd take her out for a few laps tops and just dial some suspension at Super D.

But that's not what happened... What happened was the leaking exhaust was flaming the shit out of my engine compartment and I burnt up some wiring. Lasted 2 Laps.

Fast Forward a week and I did the same exact thing.. Repaired everything and just "tightened" the fasteners on my turbo and said "It'll hold." But it didn't. First Lap out in the morning of ASB I blew the transmission on the backside of Streets of Willow in the bowl. 3rd gear....Sheared and grenaded. Swapped the transmission over lunch, and 3 hours later I was running again with the spare trans I had in the Trailer. Thanks again for the help from Everyone in the pits who lent a hand! I'm sure I wasn't very pleasant to be around at the Event. I did only show up on Sunday.
ANyways.. Second Lap on the new Transmission...again on the back side of Streets and the gasket gave it's farewell. Same Exact Issue.. but worse. Fried Wiring, Heat protection product, turbo water line, and a fair bit of Crispy PTP Gold reflective heat Tape on the frame and other bits.

I deserved that. A real kick in the face for abusing a car that truly isn't for the feint of heart. I doubled back on my own motto and strict personal guidelines on "How to make this work." The good thing is the Engine is OK. And luckily she still looks pretty. But thinking about it... Nothing was stopping me from being mid 4- 9 person train on Horse thief when the car died coming down the hill. That could have been a real mess. Shame on me for abusing it...and I made a promise to the wolf that I won't ever do that again.

Aftermath

You could say that I've fully attacked the issue though.... Both physically and mentally

I've ordered Everything I knew I should have for this new set up. So here are a few things that will keep you from committing this blasphemy of an issue in your build.

#1) ALWAYS replace the following: Exhaust Manifold to Turbo Gasket. Borg Warner actually sells a Hardware kit that includes v-band clamps SPECIFICALLY designed for the EFR V-band Flange. It also includes one of their EFR SPECIFIC Exhaust manifold to Turbo Gaskets, extra turbine housing fasteners....water/oil fittings and assorted gaskets including the recirc valve gasket etc. All of these things make a difference.

#2) Engine Block to Turbo Manifold Gasket. Although I have used Good Used Gaskets here in the past and had good luck with them. Don't Ever Use anything other than OEM. I know these are expensive but the crappy non OE ones don't last for crap. Also...just a tip.. you can use OEM Cosmo Gaskets which are a bit cheaper. I Ordered a set of these...and although they're a bit Less Wide than FD gaskets... they work great. Only reason is Atkins has been wavering back and forth on price with OEM gaskets for a while. one day they're 62 Dollars a piece.. the next your charged for 126 dollars for one. I called on this and although I purchased mine at 62 bucks a pop.. I was charged for one at 126 bucks. Ended up not making big enough a stink about the change and price online and eating the price for 2 cosmo gaskets and getting hit for a 20% re stocking fee. Kinda bothered me. But whatever. Next time I'll just order through MazdaTrix.

I also ordered Brand new Rotor Housing Studs... I looked for Hours Online and could't for the life of me find the type of Hardware I was looking for. I wanted ARP Inconel bullet head broached and 1.25 Fine Pitch outer studs. But Couldn't find anything with everything I wanted.. And I didn't want to pay the price unless it was exactly what I wanted... So I ended up going with OEM Studs.

So I guess I'm waiting for the studs to come in before Putting her all back together.

Here's a pic of the Cosmo Gaskets...

Other Happenings... I've been helping out at Abels shop more and more. Helping out the new owner of the Falken FD to get the car Sorted for Top Drift this year!

More Updates Soon!!!

Unless you guys want to check out some more fishing adventures?!!

Update: "The Blue Devil"

Ok Ok...Maybe you guys don't care...But I do hahaha... So you get to hear about fishing adventures.

If you're a fisherman... Chances are you've heard the stories of the giant Blue Fin Tuna. Massive......sometimes up to 800 lb Kings of the ocean. This species of Tuna is known to be the best Sushi Fish on the planet...at least in the oceans. Paying head to preference as well though.. But anyways... A buddy of mine Nam, has been trying to get me to head out to try and nail one. These Fish haven't been in our local waters in Years.. Let alone sizeable. Whereas in the past 5-10 years...if you landed a Blue fin.. You were happy despite size... but if you landed a 50 Lb Fish... you were the man. Only mainly hearing about larger Blue fin off the coast of the eastern Side of the States off Main. But Down here in Huntington beach...Southern California.. we don't get blue Fin Tuna.
So a couple weeks back... I went out of Longbeach on a Cattle boat where they had been suppossedly landing 80-100lb Blue fin. Well I went out. and Got Skunked haha It was just one of those days..but truthfully... I feel like I knew I wasn't going to hook up with a fish the whole time I went out. It was a full day trip. Sleep on the Boat, (2) nights.. fish the day in between and hopefully hook up with, and land a trophy! But I didn't... I came home empy handed. LAME!!

Well the next weekend my buddy Nam convinced me to go out with him on a different boat on a Day and a half trip. To the same place about 95 Miles offshore. "Tanner Bank".... Infamous as of late for Blue fin. And man were people pulling in some big fish. 50-115Lb fish were Average numbers!!

The night started at 9pm when we left the Long Beach Harber..
A quick stop at Catalina for some fish Candy AKA "Live Squid" and we'd be off to the hunting grounds "Tanner Bank."

Sea's were pretty damn rough...but luckily I don't much get sea sick. I took some Dramamine just in case the night before. But we were getting tossed with 8-12 Ft swells in 5-6 Second Duration the whole trip. I didn't so much mind it... But it was damn near impossible for me to sleep because the bunk I was in was a bit narrow....and the couple times I almost dozed off...I almost got tossed out of the bed. I'm actually surprised more people don't get seriously injured from falling out of the bunks haha. There were a couple people that hit the floor pretty hard hahaha. Being out in the ocean is pretty sick though. It was the night of the #SuperMoon... The brightest moon we'd be having in some 45-55 Years. And it shown down on the ocean like a massive Torch... You could see for Miles at night. Super bright...and an experience I'll always remember.
We got to tanner Bank at around 5AM. People were tugging on fish within Minutes.. I wasn't feeling the "Magic though"... But by 9"AM Nam had hooked up with a fish and landed him within the Hour on his Back up rod..since he'd lost his leader and line on his nice set up. It was a single speed but he got the fish in safe and sound. I was pretty Pumped for him, but def feeling left out for the Second Weekend in a row!!! There's nothing like stricking out on a fishing trip when people are hooking up around you!!! Especially when you're used to being one of the first people to hook up hahaha. (Such a premadonna these days aye?)
So Me and Nam are fishing Side by side..... and were talking about being in the zone.. Energy and the feeling you get right at around the same time you hook up with a fish. He's telling me he's feeling it and I'm telling him.. I'm kinda feeling a bit of energy and he said... "Bro..one of us is about to hook up!!!"...and I'm not even kidding you... As I was replying.... BAMMMM!!!! WHIPPPP!!!!! My SPOOL IS HOT!!! DRAG BURNER!!! NAM YELLS AT ME!!! ""BRO CLICK TO STRIKE"..ANd for those of you familiar with heavy ocean fishing reels.. There are multiple settings... free spool, Stricke, and some have dual speeds....manual push drags to slow fish down....and even Carbon Discs for Big fish on the drag!!! I might have to get exedy to build me a disc eh? haha. But As He's Yelling at me.. I slowly move my thumb over to slow the spool over the line... and as smoothly as possible switch the manual lever from free spool to "Strike" mode which allows you to reel the fish in with Drag. There is one issue though.. If you push the Manual lever too far..... It'll go straight to Manual Drag... which is set high enough because of the size of the fish we were catching...to Actually Break the line due to the abrupt Halt. These Fish are NO JOKE!!! So i'm slowly pushing the Manual lever to strick..... ANd get it there nice and smooth... The Deck hand Yells!! FOLLOW HIM!!!! I look at my line and he's OFF!!!... My fish Booked it... So maneuvering through 35+ Anglers on a single side of a boat after hooking up with a Trophy Blue IS NOT something that is EVER done very smoothly!!! The Deck hand is yelling.. I'm busy watching my line and following the fish.. and not allowing any Tension to let up.... Keeping my rod tip up and Going Full Bendo on the devil! The Deck hand is pushing people out of the way as I weave in and out... on top of.. behind... of other anglers trying to keep the fish in front of me. And FinallyI get tot he front of the Boat.. Clean and Clear of people.... PHEEWWWW!!! But off the back the fish shoots!!! Luckily on the side of the boat where there aren't any people... I follow him over there.. and this is only about 15 MIN into the fight. I'm reeling and have already hit the second gear on my reel to try and get this devil in! My Arm is burning from keeping the Rod Tip up.. my right hand is in Jack Mode cranking on the reel handle... and The tip of the rod is wedged into my abdomen to keep the reel up. This fish is NO JOKE!!! And then Light at the end of the Tunnel.. about 25 Min in... on of the Anglers on the Boat yells.. "I see Color!!!!"..... And I give a nice long exhale..... I look out towards me and see the fish... Then the fish turns towards the Boat and comes right at us... I'm thinking.. Pfffffftt... this guy just made the worst mistake ever... Reeling like a Crazed Adrenaline pumped Zombie.... I swear the fish looked up and saw me.... ANd I saw him...It may seem crazy... But I swear although it was under water vs out... Our Eyes Locked... and the Blue said "Not Today." The Blue fin Tuna Took off... ANd when I say he took off. I had roughly 400 Yards on my Reel. When it gets down to about 80 Yards.. My Yellow FlauroCarbon Turns White....to let me know I'm running out of line. The fish Took off.. and he wasn't stopping.. My Reel was screaming... And I'm just sitting there Tensed at about 80% core strength trying to brace this fish vs the Rocking Boat. The deck hand is telling me.. "Dont worry man, He'll stop." And I'm trying to trust this guy.... But about 5 min later... THe fish is still booking it.. the Reel's squeel has increased and Yellow Line Disappears!!!! I see White!!!! And this is when I started getting nervous... Because I looked over and the Deck hand is obviously taken back... His eyes wide open and mumbling shit to me that I couldn't even take into thought.. over and over he saying something to me and all I can think is "This dude has no clue".... But that's just me being older and experienced in Life at this point.. But I snap out of it and and Stop and listen to what he'saying and he says.. "HOW MUCH LINE IS left when it hits White?!!!" I answer.. "80 Yards.".. He Grabs the Rod out of my hands and asks "What my Drag is set to?!" I Reply "18Lbs" He says "OK, I've got this." He Slowly starts putting pressure on the Manual Drag lever.... which COULD break the line.. and the whole time I'm thinking.. the line is GOING to snap!!...but over the next 20 Seconds...the fish starts to slowly slow... and then Stops 100%....Turns around...and Books it Straight at the Boat... The Rod already in my hands.. The Deck hand Sweating like a Pig... Myself Sweating like a Pig... He looks at me in the eye and says.."REEL." He didn't have to tell me twice... I cranked fast.... and I cranked Long. The Devil came at the boat for a nice 50 Yards... Still in the White line... He tried to make a last Run... I did the same thing the deck hand did and slowly pressed the manual Drag lever... Then Faught the fish for the remaining 35 Min..... A glimmer of Hope again... SOmeone Yells "COLOR, COLOR!!!" But I made that mistake in the past once before..and wasn't about to do it again.. I didn't even look. My arm was shot... Shaking from un-relenting pressure... My hand was hurting but I didn't give two shits... I kept cranking.. one Deck hand Yells "GAFFFF!!!!!" the other one Yells... "GET ANOTHER GAFF!!" and I see them rush off.. Meanwhile I'm Cranking like the Dickens... And finally.. THey Gaff the Blue... Line goes slack... and I hear a massive "Thud" on the boat deck. I look at him... and there he is in all his Glory. I rush over to him and Immediately issue the Kill. For me....Taking life should never be taken for granted...and being more spiritual and thankful is the way it should always be. I Put my hand on the Blues side... Look into his Eyes..and Cut Both Gills to bleed him...all the while Giving Thanks for the beautiful gift.
When I think of a fish this size... in the middle of the Ocean.. I know this fish was a winner. It had done the hard work and beat the Odds.. it was already a winner and it was literally just living out the rest of it's life to fulfill it's duty. For me to take it's life...is a big deal. So I had better honor it and be thankful for the gift. Utilizing the whole fish is important. No use killing unless i'll be eating...and no wasting any of the fish. Right After I cut the Gills... I totally pulled a Solid and told the Deck hand I had to eat the Heart. Half Joking.... He looked at me and said..."OK." He pulled out his knife.. and pulled the heart out with the quickness. I guess he was the guy who cut up all the fish. But he had it out so quick it was crazy. He handed it to me and weirdly enough it was still beating in the palm of my hand. I didn't think about it... I just put it straight up to my mouth and took a fat Hunk out of it. It tasted...like... warm Irion tasting sushi....smooth texture but STILL BEATING!! I took a second huge bite of the Heart... and it's BIG!! about half the size of my palm... and was happy to complete the ritual. Here's a Video of me eating the Heart!

And the only Photo I got of my fish! 84LB BLUE FIN TUNA!!!

Spent the entire next morning cutting the fish up on my own. Sorting.. Vac sealing and labeling. Man there was a lot of meat!! Beautiful though!!

Look at how expensive a single Fillet was in the store!

And here is just one half of 4 Loins I had cut into !!!!!

ChuToro.... or the second most fatty section..

Otoro....highest grade other than the Head of the Tuna which holds some of the best delicate meat in the whole fish..

After the cut

Vac sealed

Some Fresh as...Seared Blue Fin Steaks!!!!

so good!!

The end of a perfect week....Experience.... IN life!! Otherwise you will live an entire life without tasting what this planet has to offer! Be thankful...remain humble..and LIVE!

More Updates Soon!!!

Dude that's incredible!!! I'm a huge fisherman so that was a great read! I thought I was the only one who thinks about the "being in the zone" thing while fishing. Haha I always thought confidence played a big part in it for me. Those steaks look amazing!!!

Big Update:

Whats up Guys!!

Long time!! I've been Busy revamping all the neglected aspects of the car.

Fixed the Exhaust as it had hit something at an event and pinched the rear most bend to the tip and was wedging the midpipe in a way that put pressure on the Down pipe. This made it hard to align...and it was leaking at the turbo/dp V-band. Thanks to Dave at FR Performance for fixing it for me!

About a Month ago Andy From Adaptronic hit me up and let me know he would be stopping by CA right after PRI to do Set up and teach us some new features on the Adaptronic Modular PnP Ecu. So I needed to get the car back together before his arrival. I hit it pretty hard to rewire the Engine Harness, as well as make sure everything was installed the correctly. We'd be using the EFR9174 This go around. Non Alum, but I wanted to go with less power because i'm sick of breaking transmissions.

Also took 2 hours out of my life to make this for everyone to use. There is no mistake in the above picture and all is 100% Correct. I was going to do the additional plugs..but figured...it'd take another 2 hours haha. And I was really busy..so although It's on my list....It's low prio right now.

Practice makes perfect! I really do Enjoy Wiring!

Shawn from Turbo Source sent me this! I thought it was pretty cool. The background to the Adaptronic PRI Booth!! WooHoo!

No Matter how deep you get in....nothing beats when you get new parts!!! I love it!! and I'm sure so do you guys when you get em!!

So I decided to Move (2) of my ID1700's from the Flat Single Rail that housed all (6) Injectors up on the Lower INtake Manifold... down to the factory spot in the Center Iron Utilizing Full Function Engineering's Primary rail. We were having some issues with Low RPM Driveability and transient response. So out of Corners and off the line i'd have to free rev the car before Letting out the clutch. That made the car hard to drive. By doing this... although the New Modular ECU takes Hundreds of times More samples per sec than the older PNP model... I wanted to make sure everything I could do to help...was in fact done.

Went fishing with Nam again and nabbed a NICE Rare blue LingCod!!!

Look at those teeth!! This fish was alive during prehistoric times!

Craziest part.... it's meat is actually Blue!!!

Continued!

Primary Full Function Engineering Rail with (2) ID1700's... experimenting with fitment

What was I up to????!!!hahaha

Made this Trick Lower Intake Manifold Shield out of PTP Turbo's Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier! I've always needed one of these!

And used my own selection of Hardware for my Gleasman Billet Series Manifold to Rotor Housings! Full Race's Lock washers.. OEM inconel Studs and good ol Copper Locking Nuts

9174 vs 8374 I love Both

This is Neat!!! A proto-type MTX-L Plus!!! Should be the Worlds Fastest!!!!

Always prepping before install!

Bending the provided 3/16 tube for the Full Function Engineering EMAP Kit. I'd be using this to see which Turbo was more Efficient...and or Working the best size wise in regard to back pressure on my engine!
I was really excited to be able to hook this up!

More Wiring at FR Performance the day Before Andy Arrived!

Dave at FR Performance did my exhaust to fix the binding mis-alignment issue happening with the turbo vband to down pipe and my 9174 Compressor outlet to Intercooler.

This was my first Harness Built from Scratch....All on my own. So I spent extra time double checking everything...and ALSO making it so that I could adapt it in the future without ripping apart raychem on the main trunk.

Anyone remember this car?
[IMG]http://i804.photobucket.com/albums/yy325/mannykiller/FD%20Build%202016/20161209_200517_zpswued7z77.jpg[/IMG

Continued:

Day of Andy's arrival and Modular PnP Set up at Alex Rodriguez dyno in Corona and I got to meet a member I've known on the forums for years!! But first I had some finishing up to do on the wiring!

Nice Clean EFR 20B FD..... not just nice..REALLY NICE!! Seriously beautiful car and well thought out execution!

Me and Andy!

Set up on the new ECU was Fast!!! And was great to have a first look with Andy instructing us on the set up of this new Powerful Modular ECU!!

After Andy Schooled us on how to use the new Software, Abel Took over the Lap top to fully tune the rest of the Power map. Andy did a TPS based/VE Tune which had the car feeling smoother than i've ever felt as Semi Peripheral. I was so psyched on the Transient Response!!! And now it was time for Abel to put some boost into her!!
Picture Below Myself...Abel and Andy!

At only 17 Lbs! All the way up to 9600RPM!!! This would be it until I was able to put a stronger transmission in the car. Can't be losing out on comp and or drive time just for excessive power. Response is going to win these events... and that was my main concern. I'm happy as the car still rips! But I would still recommend the 8374 over the 9174 for your average large street ported Sub 500WHP Rotary.

The next day I stopped by Turbosmart USA to Get a new Kompact BOV Installed on my EFR9174
The car looks awesome under the light!

Marty doing his thing! Installed it for me too!! Great Customer Service!

Did a Lifestyle Video Shoot for Borg Warner!!!

And forgot to post a picture of my Finished "Modular in design" Wiring Harness

Continued!:

Spent a day double checking things and loaded up the Wolf for a Track test at Willow Springs on Balcony!

And Yep....She still Rips!! And damnnn does 9K Feel good!

More Updates Soon!!

Stay Tuned!!!

Update: "Planning"

Whats up everyone!

Just wanted to give a bit of an update with the car. Since Everything with the car is 99% Sorted....and technically it's the "Off" season... I decided to get started planning my new Chassis Re-wire. After writing down everything I wanted in the set up... I wrote down a huge list of things I wanted to do..that would clean up the car...and make it as reliable and Robust as possible.

The past couple years being in the Pits at FD events.... it was a pretty common occurrence to see things start to fail due to heat. Using an expensive PDM to control everything would be nice....but it's not in my budget. So i'll be utilizing relays in the set up. But keeping everything sorted and well organized is also something I want to do. So I won't be actually starting the set up until I have all of the components 100% in my possession. And even then...I won't be pulling anything out of the car until the Control board and Dash is complete I won't be going too crazy on the dash. Although we could all probably spend ages making a cool custom set up. I just want the set up to be Solid and Clean. So as my Gauge Cluster set up I'll have the Following:

Race Technologies Dash 2
Possibly Innovate MTX-L Wideband
Possibly Zeitronix Ethanol Content Analyzer

The Race Technologies dash displays everything above...So technically..I don't need the wideband or the Ethanol content analyzer, so maybe i'll just leave them out of the set up to keep it simple and clean.

My HVAC panel will house:

ARC 8000 Touch Panel (8) Switches
(3) Additional Fuel Pump Switches
possibly the Innovate Wideband
a Direct port for my Lap top to the new Adaptronic Modular
and a port for my Wideband Controller in case I need to swap Wideband Sensors from Bosch 4.9 to 4.2

I've did a quick photoshop on my phone to see if I liked the set up or if I would do it differently:

And Here is a quick Wiring Schematic of sorts that I made based off of all my knowledge and experience from the track.

I'm slowly gathering parts. Still doing a bit of research on starter solenoids but it seems like the trombetta is one of the toughest ones and most widely used. Painless includes them in their kits as well.

More Updates Soon!

Stay Tuned!

Small Update: "Off Season Reflections....Off Season Workings"

As much drama has been going on here in the forum world, I'd like to take a moment to explain a few things.

There have been a few members on the forum that have taken personal shots at me, saying that I live a "Fake Life," and that I get things for "Free" and that all i do is Slap things on my car, don't do any real work with it. And hope it works.

Although I know our forum goes in waves with these things... members come and go, and the guys who are in it for the long haul... are who they are and I appreciate those members. It still bothers me that such ignorance is present. There's really nothing I can do about it either. But It just seems absurd to me that someone can see you, ask for tons of help...like literally blow you up non-stop. You give them advice....constant advice about whatever they ask...and or what they're trying to accomplish. Which by the way...is all out of courtesy and just wanting to help people avoid paying out extra money and wasting time. You tell them the truth about something...they don't like to hear it.. and although it may be good advice.. it pisses them off.. and all the sudden were back in kindergarten, and they revert to adolescence and call you names etc. That....or they actually go and try to mess things up with you and other relationships.

So I'll be 100% Honesty with all this...Let's get this straight. This is my life, my career, and something i've worked constantly towards for the past 6-7 Years of my life. I left a solid career, with good income, a good schedule... all to pursue this dream. No part of it is "Fake." There is no such thing as "Free." Everything comes with a price. And on top of that...the people making this claims don't know what my deals are. Nor do they know decisions have been made regarding what we're doing with the car and why.

I don't post intricate details on this forum..because sadly enough....there are people out there who would try and use that against you in some way or another. Or to Create Drama. I've had people go as far as trying to tell me what my engine builder/mentor/tuner instructed me to do to my set up..... Just because they read something somewhere that they think is fact....and that's the golden ticket. There is so much mis-information online it's ridiculous. Don't believe me? Read the whole beginning of my build thread and see what I went through. See the mistakes I had to learn the hard way from... and there is even a few posts in there where I specifically stated.... that part of me doing this build thread was so that people could see where I went wrong... what does and doesn't work for certain applications...and how to avoid it, simply by not repeating my mistakes. And despite trying to share those set backs with people....I still get flamed, name called..and so on. It's part of the gig in a way... and It's not going to change.. but what I'm trying to do is bring awareness to it. And hopefully the members that matter will stick around and the people trying to learn and do things correctly will gain some experienced knowledge through my personal set backs and prospers...and be able to apply them to their own situations.

But there is a reason why a lot of other guys don't get involved on the forum...because they don't want to deal with people who say they are this or say they are that. Or criticize their work...yet haven't nearly the experience themselves. It bothers me that a newcomer on the the forum might be mis-led by someone.. simply because that someone talks a big talk....

For instance.. just because someone Owns a brand new Ferarri 458... doesn't mean that they're a good driver. Doesn't mean that they know whats going on in their engine, or the best modifications they can do...or how to apply those modifications, build an engine, keep it running reliably, or even wire it or tune it. It just means that they had enough money.. and liked the product enough to buy it.

Just because you have a 3 rotor...doesn't mean you know what you're doing

Just because you have owned a 2/3 or 4 rotor...doesn't mean your experienced with engine building/set up, modifications. It just means you were brave enough to get into it on your own.

Just because you got a car running on a base map... doesn't mean you are a tuner.

In fact... a nice little story on this. Any Wyatt. Thee owner and creator of Adaptronic Engine Management flew out here to do the new ECU Modular set up on my car. After everything was set up/calibrated and working. He showed us how to really Dial in the Transient Tune using the tools that Eugene (Software) could offer. There were more than a few people at the shop at that time..and after the transient set up... Abel Ibarra Took over and did the rest of the tune. I overheard a conversation Andy was having with one of the guys that was hanging around...and he said to Andy "So how come you're not tuning the car anymore." ..(he was referring to my car...and how he jumped out and Abel jumped in). Andy replied "I'm not a tuner....I'm an engineer." That answer just about sums up my entire rant. Andy's reply was spot on... He knows he can tune...and I've seen him do full tunes before and he does a good job. But he's not a Tuner. He acknowledges that 100% and understands that he doesn't have the applied experience and Knowledge that Abel does in Tuning. And Vise Verse. Abel knows he doesn't want anything to do with engineering ecu's or software.

So Again.. Just because someone wires cars... doesn't make them a Tuner..and just because someone tunes cars... although I'd hope to god they knew a thing or two about it... doesn't mean they are good at it.

And Hell... this one gets me the most.. just because you are "Certified" doesn't mean you are a good tuner either. It just means you passed a course. Which most "Online Courses" these days are a joke anyhow.

There are some very under-rated people here on the forum..... some of who i've gone to for advice in the past....and they've helped me! So it's not to say that there aren't good knowledgeable people out there...But it is to say that you've got to do some good weeding to get past people who put on that front.

This is what makes the Forum so great... and not so great at the same time. I got my start on this forum... had up's and had down's...but through it all... I got a pretty large scope of whats going on in this world. Through it...i've gained priceless experience, knowledge and both a professional career working for a guy that I used to watch video's of ...mouth agape.. on you tube. It's been a constant challenge....and I feed off of that. I'm thankful for the opportunity and relish on everything I've gotten to experience.... the people I've met, places i've gone... all because of it. So i'll keep posting on this thread...and try to share with people my life experiences that were all started by this crazy Fd3s rotary drift car that my friends nick-named "The Wolf."

With that said... I'd like to take this time...Not only to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone on here that has Supported me! Anything from offering kind words, meeting in Person at events and or track days, to riding in my car and just being cool all the time....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I'd also like to open up any questions that people might've wanted to ask!! Let's ...set.... GO!!!

And The Update: "Behind the Scenes Look into processes"

I stopped by Threepiece.US to get my front wheels widened. They are currently 9"....but due to how low the car is...and balancing out the front end Grip...which is going to determine how much lower I go etc.. and lastly..not to destroy my fender on the tire edge. Going with a 1" larger lip....will lower the Wheels over all Outside Diameter I.D. The stretch will help..not just with the Fender... but with pulling the tire's increasing OD towards the center of the tire...down a tad...which will keep it away from the Frame of the car. At Full lock.. I have the room. SO 10" front compared to 9" front it is.
Ayyyy!!!

The guys over at ThreePiece.us got everything apart/Cleaned and we were able to do an in-depth short video/write up on the process of putting a Three Piece wheel together.
Here Mauricio had just pulled apart my wheel and had dropped the face into the new 5" outer Lip

Not even funny how much I like the 5" outers compared to the 4"

Silicon Seal applied

And my old 17X4" 40 Hole Outers are now for sale if anyone wants them. They are not bent, they have light scratches from use..but nothing that can't be polished out. Price is 140ish each or 260 for the set. Is that price good? Local Pick up preferred.

More Updates soon!!!!!

More parts trickling in!!

Stay tuned!

Update: "With Focus on Bringing the Pro to Pro-Am"

Sorry for the mad Delay....Photobucket was doing some maintenance on their site and I was pretty much locked out of the site for the last 3 weeks. A total pain. Had to re do passwords etc and all as well.

But I'e been Busy prepping for this new season. I'll be doing a host of performance Upgrades to the Wolf this off season...not much in terms of Hardware..but I will be tackling the Chassis Wiring. Which I believe i've already said. Reason being...is I want the car to be as reliably set up and easy to work on as possible. I also want to showcase my abilities because at some point i'm going to be building another car. So if I can stay in the mindset of constantly evolving for the better...then I'll be up to the task when it comes to this next chassis.

Here's my current To Do List:

- Chassis Re Wire
- Pull Engine Refresh
- Convert AN-6 to AN-8 Crank Case Breathers
- Install Radium Dual Catch Cans
- Swap back to Borg Warner EFR8374D 1.05A/R
- Re-work Dash and Guage Set up
- Paint Interior Sheet Metal
- Refresh Brake System W/new Pads Fluid
- Re Cover all heat Damaged Lines with New PTP Turbo Heat Products
- Build Spare Diff so it's bolt in Ready
- Swap out my Single 4" straight Stainless Turn Down Exhaust for 4" inlet w/Dual 2.5" outlets to Quite up the car some. It's honestly just too loud.

So it was a pretty big decision on my end to pull the engine out. For me..it’s my goal to Never have the car down. And the worst feeling in the world is when I can’t just jump in the car and go drive. But with this year being THIS important to me… I needed to follow a Professional model to cancel out all of the potential issues that go along with racing. One of those things is not “Betting” on things lasting. Although I’ve had extremely solid engine’s ever since I met Abel. And I didn’t drive as much as I would have liked to this past year… This engine has seen about 7 Dyno Sessions….and about 8 track days. Not as much in comparison to the last set up. But with a lot of preventative precautions going on to Tidy up my Chariot… I figured the best and most certain way to insure the car is solid would be to pull the engine out and give her a once over. I hate it..but It has to be done! So out comes the Wolfs heart and me and Abel will be pulling her apart this afternoon.

Here she is with one of Abel’s Spare 1700WHP 20B RX8 Engines. Not that my block Measures up. But more than a few times..Abel has pointed at my keg and said…. “You’re a lucky son of a B**** , Because everything I learned with these engines is going into yours.” And I can’t say shit because I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
Check it!

Also spent a good solid week and a half designing my rewire all on paper. I wanted to make sure I had all my bases covered and also set everything up to go along with my whole theme of setting things up as simple, reliable and easily maintained as possible. It’s definitely not the most expensive set up. But you don’t need expensive to be reliable. You just need solid components. Pick and choose what you’re going to spend the money on, and if I could give any advice, it would be to write out what you want on paper FIRST. The easiest way to waste money is to start buying things. Depending on what you want… you could even use the OEM Stock Fuse Boxes and relocate/delete or simplify things and rewire the car that way.
This might’ve been draft 4 of 20 Lol

Parts started coming in. I’m not sure if I’ll be using the NTK Wideband or going with the Innovate MTX-L Plus. I don’t necessarily like the Bosch 4.9 Sensor. So If I go with the Innovate…I’ll be swapping sensors to the 4.2.
Got this Sweet Master Battery Cut off Switch. It’s sole purpose is to kill the battery 100% while working on it. I’ll be mounting it closer to the battery.

Just a quick Template to get an idea of how much Space I’ll be working with when I lay it all out. My goal is to be able to have this fasten to the car with 4 Fasteners. Somewhere under the Dash..accessible…and easy to look at/reach…but under the dash.

More packages and Parts

And Scored a sick spot in the 2017 Borg Warner Parts Catalog!

And one of the coolest pieces of my puzzle….which must’ve taken me a good 4 Days to choose the best model..Is this guy!!!

Can anyone Gusss what it is?
Stay Tuned!! More updates soon as I tackle this Re-wire!!

Got a new low mile E-shaft and had it polished. Taking no Chances with the old shaft

Dyno Finished!

When People say that they can rebuild an engine in a few hours...they're full of it. These are all my used parts. And this is how I've been taught how to Clean. It takes time to do this. This IS the correct way to rebuild an engine. Unless of course...you've got all new parts hah!

This was pretty cool!! Got a call out to see if I was available to go testing for the new Parts Shop Max Full Suspension Arm Set up with their new Limit Break Kit!! Only issue was the car was an LS Twin Turbo 700 WHP V8 lol. Doesn't feel very fast compared to the Wolf....but it was Fun hahaha. But seriously...The New PBM Fd3s Kit is Awesome. Photo Dump Round 2: "Runnin up hill like it's down hill"

Insane Happenings guys!! Grindin harder than ever!!!

I'll let the pics do the talking!

If you're not following me in IG......HIT ME UP!!! My IG Username is: @Aaparkah

YOu may find a bit more frequent blips of my happenings. But I'll always still be here on the forum!

PICS!

Engine Building with Abel Ibarra! This was the first time Abel pretty much passed the Torch to me and said " Let me know when you get to the Rotors."

Funny enough...i didn't have any questions up until I got to that point. Easily the best mentorship I've ever had. Priceless in so many ways and topping the list is the friendship and Mentroship that Abel has shown towards me. I wouldn't call myself traditionally religious. But I am truly blessed and eternally grateful to have what I would consider something closer to family than anything else.

On to pics!

New FFE mounts!

Ayyyy!!!

CLEAN

Some Preventative Maint!! Although we did see evidence of the Engine Twisting!!! Luckily We caught it!! and we now know that a mere stud kit sometimes isn't enough

Clutch!

Droppin her back in!!!

Dammmmmnnn Gir!!!

Tuff

The Grind.... I will never be too tired. I will never second guess what needs to be done. I will never let myself down. Every chance you get to get one mm closer to your end goal .....is worth the effort. Work smarter they say.... work less they say.... I say work smarter and harder. When other people call it a night....I make up ground. This is my life... and it is all hustle. So I promise myself every night before I got to sleep.. That I won't stop until I am satisfied. I will end up getting my Formula Drift pro 2 license,....and I will end up getting my Pro 1 License. There is no question of if... It is only a matter of time. If I don't get it this year... Guess what?...I'll be on it next year. Cant stop the train. Just gotta ride it out.
Installed!!!

Beautiful days...sometimes you've just gotta put the wrench down for a couple seconds and remember how grateful we are to be able to even pick one up.

This is one of the best parts.... Getting to watch first hand the process of Abel's tuning. People truly don't understand what this guy is capable of. He is what I would whole heartedly say one of the best if not the best rotary tuner on the planet. Not just because of what I've seen him do on my car. But on others. He is Very meticulous. no cut corners.

This is the wolf's engine bay "2.0"

sorry no dyno numbers till I upload my go pro footage!

but the car made 470 at 18 Lbs. Rev Limit 9650!

These Guys killed it!!

Burned 2 Transmissions at round 1. Number one went on the first day. Swapped it that night to another for practice and Comp the next day. Got one lap with the new one and synchro's were toast in 2nd and 3rd. Was able to put up points...but missed top 16 by 8 Points. Weak. I'll get em next time.

Update: "Caught in the Jumble"

One of the things I'd like to stress is the amount of moving parts in terms of running the car for a season, happenings, updates, parts coming....in and out...maintenance and logistics, relationships...friendships... Helping people, grinding out 14 hour days and paying the bills.

It looks like a full on Hustle. How much is possible to get done in a day, because it's usually not enough. Not only Am I maintaining the car, but the car is constantly being improved. Why? Why not "Leave it alone?" like everyone tells me to do?......because if i'm going to drive in Formula Drift... I need to continue to develop this car. Until I have complete confidence that I've come across a solid platform that is capable of competing in Formula Drift Pro. Whether that's done with The Wolf....or another Chassis. What's important is that I know how to construct the car into a sustainable competitive machine. The next guys would leave the car alone... 300-350 WHP is pretty safe in terms of maint and keeping the car running. But what if I wanted to have a first hand experience of what it's going to take to operate a pro level program....at a pro-am level? My whole decision process has changed. Bringing the "Pro to Pro-Am." If I can Mimic a Pro Level Program down here in Pro-Am....then by the time I get my License...the transition should be much smoother. I've gotten very very close to what I would consider a winning combination in terms of Chassis. The Wolf has Evolved.. We've got the Engine and Tuner and again I can't be thankful enough to be at Abel Ibarra's Side 5-7 Days out of the week. He's constantly taking me to school. Beating bits of knowledge into me and proving me wrong in certain areas where no amount of reading will suffice. One of the best parts is the constant improvement of things. Abel has a different way of thinking than a lot of people, and it's because he's been through this before. One of my favorite memories of him was walking into his engine room and being a bit surprised at what he was doing. I came around the corner and he has these straight up Einstein Style Microscope Glasses Contraptions that look straight out of DR Jekyll early 1900's style....Holding my Stationary Gear and looking so intensely at the bearing that I could've sworn he'd Discovered the secret to life in it. He looked at me and said "you've got good oil, I thought for sure you were going to Tear this engine up."

So just to give everyone a little run down of what we found in the Engine after last season. And this isn't to brag about being hard on things or anything. But A lot of manufacturers would agree...that if you want to test a parts reliability under stress....Install it on a Rotary. So if you want to ensure that you have a solid product for track use...install it on a Rotary drift car. Drifting is probably one of the hardest things you could put a car through. A lot of the time the courses are 15-30 Sprints with very little to no cooling down periods in between. Sitting on grid...HOT... SET GO!!! Rippin it up and back in line.. sitting...baking... HOT!!! SET GO!!! AGAIN!!! Repeat 6-10 times and you've got an average competition practice heat. 6-10 Tires gone. 15 Gallons of Ethanol...Gone... You'd better make sure you double checked everything, and that everything was in good shape to start. I don't know if I posted about it....but I had to throw my Clutch in the Trash after last season...and I didn't even compete in more than 2 Events last year. The Intermediate plate was stuck on the Crown on my Exedy Cerametallic twin. Warped to hell. I was measuring the discs when Abel came by and and said plain as ever "What the hell are you doing?".........I replied... "measuring the Discs....they don't look done yet." He looked at me like I was crazy....and said... "We just used a 5lb Sledge hammer to get that thing off your engine because it was that warped......" ....I put the micrometer down went to go wash my hands and came back and the whole clutch outside of the pressure plate was in the garbage. Abel said... "You MIGHT...be able to re-use that pressure plate as a back up." He's constantly saving me in the long run. And oddly enough.....I catch myself putting every bit of knowledge he's taught me into practice while working in the pits. While I'm wiring....installing and or helping other aspects of builds.

One thing Warren from Pulse Performance in New Zealand told me was ahhh...man you got a good thing going on. You're lucky to have Mr. Ibarra, and you'd be surprised at how many people have one person build the engine, only to have another person tune it. It's something I have thought about in the past....but it was good to hear it again. Every time I think about that...I remember Abel holding my Stat gear and Inspecting my Bearing. It's the best scenario you could put together. But I do understand that it's not always possible to have the same person that built your engine....tune it and be there to rebuild it with you etc. And there are people I know that have built their own engines and or purchased solid builds from people like DJSeven here on the forum...or Lucky7 Racing Etc and had other people tune them with solid results. But Just remember that it's a very thin line with who's going to be responsible for a failure if and or when there is one. There are 3 parts in it. 1. The engine, 2. The assembler of the system, 3. The tuner. Each part is as important as the next.
The engine is very important....who'se building it, thoroughness and parts used. I get to break down a ton of engines with Abel and you start seeing a trend in things and I won't mention any names, but lets just say that sometimes people brag about their engines superiority over others...when really they're junk. Silicon doesn't need to be gobbed everywhere all over our engines. We use very little....and if you clean correctly... you don't need to use much at all. The first time we built my engine...I was amazed at how little we used. But when Abel tells me we've got an engine to rebuild and it's from a select number of "known builders" I know i'm in for an extra 4-6 hours of cleaning. It sucks.
The second part is "The Assembler" and this part is very important and being a huge DIY community....this part is where i'd say 99% of problems occur. Nothing wrong with doing it ourselves. It's where I started, and I know a ton of people here on the forum and off of the forums that DIY. But a good engine is only as good as it's supporting system. If youve got a $10K engine assembled into a jank long block... well guess what... It'll be jank. INsufficient fuel systems, No fuel pressure sensors or gauges,.....Oil lines hooked up backwards. Silicon clogged oil pick up's, ignition systems wired wrong, crossed coils, WG lines holding the valve closed...you name it. Things are forgotten sometimes and we all make mistakes...but remember next time ....If you're booking it on the freeway at 100+ MPH at 7-8K RPM in 3rd-4th.... are you sure you double checked everything? Or when your turbo manifold and Exhaust housing are glowing red on the Dyno and your turbo is Spinning at 115K RPM .....are you sure you tightened all the bolts holding the CHRA in to the Turbine housing or Compressor housing? Not hating at all....juuuust bringing it to attention because at that point.... it's not a game. Your hard earned money, time and effort all went into it. Just reinforcing the "Do it once, Do it right," type of mind set.

Ok ok,...Enough of that......On to the Pics!!!

Not sure if I had posted this yet but... Head to Head Face off with the PBM Twin Turbo V8 Fd. Sorry Mr. LS....The Wolf needs to put your parts to work....on a fast car =-) hahaha

Got to meet another Mechanical Guru of sorts. This man was recommended to me by one of my Driving mentors as being the best there is at setting up Differentials. I've now got (2) FD Rear ends. Both are Carbonetic 2-Way LSD units. One Carbon and One Metal. One with 3.9 gearing and the other is 4.4. Working on a potential 3rd just to experiment with less moving parts in using a Welded unit and or Spool. But the goal is to eliminate failure points. As much as i absolutely LOVE 2-way Lock style....A spool is more reliable. I've never broken an aftermarket Diff unit...but I also don't want to chance it. We'll see where this takes me.

R&D for a new type of Sway bar. Utilizing Speedway components.... and positioning the bar in a slightly more advantageous position...

The Look is constantly evolving. I took the White paint off because it got too dirty at the track. IT was a disaster of a time trying to keep it pretty. Don't even want to admit how long it took me to clean all the ceramic paint off

Re-organized my Track Tool box. With this simple 4 Droor box.. I can pull a transmission while the car is in my enclosed trailer, pull an engine...minus Lift..and pretty much do anything I need to the car. I'd like to go through the whole tools list so that some people could better prepare for their track days.

SuperWow Factory Vinyl is the JAM!!!! Pure Quality!

ANNNNNDDDD a recent occurance... Picked up one of Mr. Bacon's Pans thanks to a member on the forum here. Needed it in a hurry and the Member whom of which which I can't recall his username (because we talked on fb) Let me purchase his pan that he was waiting to install...and I pre ordered a pan from Mr.Bacon.

So some of you guys might ask why the Pan and the reinforcement plate? Well... when we refreshed my engine. We saw signs of the engine twisting. Installed the Engine plate..But on the Dyno Abel pointed out something very very critical. I was 100% packed up and ready to head out for Vegas Drift after work that night...but Abel not just ruined my event...but saved my engine as well. He pointed out that my oil pressure was dropping for just under a half a second and that if I wanted to blow up the engine.... go to the event. I was immediately frustrated but this is where I've put my trust in Abel...and I had to tell myself to just shut the hell up and listen. Every time he's been this adament about something....he's been right. So I cancelled on attending Vegas Drift Round 1 and dropped my front subframe in order to check out what was going on with my Oil pick up. Just like Abel had said....even though I added the Engine Reinforcement plate and made sure that the OIl level was correct. The additional oil would also create even more slosh...and with the pick up not as close to the bottom of the pan as it should've been....there was going to be a major issue if I beat on it. So I pulled it all and am currently installing the new Pan to make sure that the engine is sufficiently supplied with oil.
Trap Doors in the pan to keep oil surrounding the pick up on hard switch backs.

I also started working on my new Wing Stays. Going to be making and designing them myself. There are a lot of wing stays out there...but I want something a little bit unique and not so much like the one's i've seen out there. Thanks again to Rays Factory for supplying me with everything I need to make this work.

Random...Made a new friend Mr. Horse haha He loves apples and Carrots

Full Oil System Flush. FOr those of you guys looking to install an dual oil cooler system...if you can..Id highly recommend NOT installing them like mine. The Dual set up is awesome. Whats not awesome is that there is a tendency for sludge to build up in the bottom of the coolers. And upon further inspection..which took far more time than it shouldve...and that I'm kicking myself in the ass about still....

Those of you guys on E85. And Using Klotz Benol reg and superTechniplate. I don't know if you guys have the same experience...but i'm guessing you have. But our Oil level actually rises due to our fuel diluting our OIl. If you've ever noticed while doing an oil change...just how much the oil smells like fuel. Well It wiggs me out that people think that that goo crap is ok being in the engine. Well since our Oil gets saturated with Ethanol... And we Premix our fuel... where do you think that Goo is going? YUP....Just kicked myself in the ass again because the only thing I didn't do last year when I re-vamped my entire fuel system to get rid of all that Benol Goo left in the fuel tank and system was Flush my Oil coolers out. While Flushing them out yesterday I noticed that there was a good INCH OF that shit clogging up the bottom of my Oil coolers. Took me 4 hours in the Parts washer with Mineral spirits and Gasoline to get all of it out. After I drained the oil from them I was thinking to myself.."Damnnnn these things are Heavy." ....then a few min later with a flashlight and a long piece of welding wire..." SHIIIITT,"....after I immediately recognized the thick sludge on the end of the wire. If that's not a reason NOT to run that crap....then I don't know what is. It settles at the bottom of whatever sump it's in. Next time I re-do My oil coolers I'll be reworking my system to have the inlet and outlet facing the ground. This way I can have a clean system..and not worry about the coolers getting clogged up. In this case...it might've helped me and luckily the stuff doesn't really move much when submerged in Ethanol. It just keeps building up on itself. So I don't think it got into the engine.....pretty sure it didn't actually but it was still reducing my oil coolers cooling efficiency. Not cool....literally haha. So, the goal is to have a clean system 100% of the time... not counting on the coolers to collect goo... I need it all working correctly. This is something that I need to bump slightly into a higher position on the priority list.
Anyways... If that's not a good enough reason to run a pre-mix that doesn't have sludge in it....then I don't know what is.

Update: "How Bad Do you Want it?"

Long time since the last post!!! I hate to say it but It might just end up being like this from here on out.
I've spent the last month or so utilizing every moment of every day on my program. There is a ton that goes on outside of just working on the car.....and all of it is done to help build a sustainable drifting program.

Managing sponsorships, making things happen....work on the car..work on the car....WORK ON THE CAR. There is so much that goes into keeping the car running correctly that I actually had to take a step back and remind myself of what I used to do. And that is make sure the car is 100% before taking it out. There's no reason to go to the track unless the car is ripping...alignment is set....and track time can be spent driving.

To touch on the sponsorship, and the myth that companies give you things for free. Nothing in life is free. Managing sponsorships is a full time job. You're representing a company alongside yourself. And the price is spending hours and hours of time dedicating yourself to your side of the deal. ON another note... I Guess a few members have gotten together to try and bash my name on social media. Members I've spent quite a bit of time in the past helping...for no other reason than to help a fellow rotary enthusiast. This forum is where I started...and I do my best to help other people in the same situation out. But I DO see why a lot of other people who take the next step into this Realm stop responding to people and or helping. Why? Because those people get mad at the truth and try to get back at you.

I had initially wanted to put it all out there. But INstead I'm going to keep it short and just say this. The Truth Hurts..and the People who know.....Know. Right and Wrong have a tendency to follow those choices, and faking the funk will always come back to bite ya.

On to the Updates!!!

Massive Thanks to Red Line Oil for supplying the Wolf with The Best Oil on the Market!!!

Anyone Remember this guy?

Looong time buddy of mine!!..and ex Rotary Drift Slayer!!

waiting....always waiting for me

Thoughts?....

Preventative Maint....Leaky Summit brand fitting.... got 4 Years out of her though.....NOT BAD!

New LIM Shield Dual layer using all PTP Brand Heat products!

The Grind

Gear Ratio Swaps and Diff Happenings... Anyone have a 4.4 and or 4.77 Ring and Pinion gear..Please do let me know. I'm looking for one asap for my second spare. Dropping from the 3.9 has really improved the delivery and put me in the ideal wheel speed for my comp courses.

Pulled the LIM off to fix the leaky down-pipe V-band flange....well Decided to pull it off to have a look and see how my O-rings were holding up. Good thing I did. These guys were toast.

So I decided to go from a Square shape Oring..to a Tubular more traditional style O-ring. Check it

Glease Man Billet Series Mani holding up strong for over a Season and half!!!! THese are the best parts....the one's you forget you've installed. When I pulled it off to do the Oil pan... we put a flat edge on it to check and see if it had warped.... NOPE. Straight as can be!

Started looking at more components....

Fuel Rail ORB fitting.... Needed replacement. This is why you should lubricate your O-rings!!

Nate at Bink Industries in Costa Mesa California....close to Huntington Beach just opened up his shop full time. Him and I work together on Odi's Team. He's a great Fabricator with some solid skills and Excellent quality. Had him do my V-band flange on my downpipe.

Plasma!

This required me going back and forth twice from Corona to Costa Mesa. First to test fit it with Tack welds...and then back again to have it welded as long as everything fit up correctly.

Grind Jams. DO WORK MUSIC!

And FINALLY Decided to get this done. Last min decision to get the Engine Harness complete for the Adaptronic M2000 Wire in. PUMPED on how it came out. And Pumped that my good buddy Joe Rapolo was able to come to my rescue when I had a full week of Work scheduled and not enough time to finish this harness for the Wolf. He Crushed it for me. I'm picky...and he did SUCH a good job. Literally Plugged the harness in..connected ground and power...and BRAP!!

Moving to the M2000 Wire in ECU was a "Race Car" move that I had been meaning to do for a while now. To get rid of the Dash harness. and Chassis Harness. So this was the first step.

a Day later.... I showed up to Top Drift ready to Rock!

Course

Legend

Pit Set up!!

And Me and My buddy Noah Nelson. We've got plans... Big Plans... I've mentored him through to this point in his first season of Pro-Am Drifting. And in as little time as his Second Event....He's already Qualified for the first time Ever!!! Congrats to him and I can't wait to see how much quicker He progresses!!!

It has been my goal to keep him away from every wrong choice "Progress wise" that he can make. Where I Went wrong...I'll guide him away...and to the Correct Choice for the Long haul with his Program. It feels good to help someone who gets it!! He qualified higher than I DID!!! He got 12th....and I squeeked in at 14th haha

Then I Purchased this!

Wolf Jammin!!

First Qualifying Run...Dropped a Tire..which the judges said is acceptable there. Still getting used to the new Parts Shop Max Suspension and Gearing set up. Can't wait to get the car dialed in!!!

https://youtu.be/lMnn3fJDTZs

Then I Purchased this!

Wolf Jammin!!

First Qualifying Run...Dropped a Tire..which the judges said is acceptable there. Still getting used to the new Parts Shop Max Suspension and Gearing set up. Can't wait to get the car dialed in!!!

https://youtu.be/lMnn3fJDTZs

Fill the zones!!!! get into the clipping points!

Pulled my Fuel System for INterior Paint!!! Worked exactly as I had planned!!! 4 AN fittings!!! Power and Ground and (4) Cap Nuts holding this board in!!! takes 10 Min to remove the whole set up!

Dinner Happenings with friends!! loove food!

New EGT Kit set up from Innovate Motorsports. TX-4 PLUS!!! Can't wait to install this set up with the new Chassis Wiring I'm doing at the moment!

Update: Part 4 "How bad do you want it?" Continued...

Finally got around to organizing all of my wiring stuff. Picked up this sick ass Husky rolling hard case at home depot. Was about 85-95 bucks..but well worth it. Everything Fits!! Now I can start offering wiring jobs without having to order parts first. Which may not sound like a big deal...but it really helps when things are urgent...which they often times are.

Check it out!

Ayyyy.....Sooo Pumped on this!

Goods if you know...you know ;-)

And Finally....started ripping EVERYTHING out of The Wolf to complete the car's last big "Make-Over Step."

Since I've been on the Adaptronic Plug and Play unit since the beginning.. i"ve just kept the Chassis and Dash harness on the car. It always worked... so I didn't ever want to dig into it until it was needed. Well it's definitely needed....and I actually kind of forgot what it looked like under there....So it's safe to say...that I'm glad I pulled the dash off.. and I was actually really very embarrassed to even see what I was hauling around in my poor Wolfy.
Check this Mess out

Sweet Jesus

67 Lbs with Heater Core =-O

Fr Performance picture to break up terrible chassis stripping bland shots
