Dream S13 Coupe Build and Story. **!Pics!**
OKAY! Here it is, my name is Nick im from Hamilton/ON, Canada. I entered the S-chassis world with an extremely clean S13 hatch. The car was immaculate. I had some fun with it but my real interest was in coupes. I made the tough decision to sell the hatch and start my search for a coupe.
The hatch began as a bone stock grandpa owned sunday driver 175,XXX KM Zero Rust Non-hicas I had alot of fun with this thing.. beat it up but still tried to keep it clean lol After a while of beating the car i decided to clean it back up and get ready for resale (hard to believe this is the same car..) After the car sold, i found an awesome deal on a 1980 Toyota Cressida. I had big plans for the car but it was just to hard to find parts and make repairs. The car was sweet. Every luxury feature known to man was in this thing.. (Ac, power windows, power locks, headed seats, and HUD) pretty gangster for such an old vehicle. Video we made for fun of the Cressy Old Timey With Nick's Cressida - YouTube The Cressida was such an eye catcher. Everyday i was chatting with 5 new people about the thing and was always asked if i wanted to sell it. Since my plans were shot down i decided to test the waters and see what i could get for it. Turns out i got a good offer and made a few $$ on it. After the Cressida sold my love for the s-chassis quickly came back to me when i found a cheap S13 coupe. $1000 1992 240sx LE (coupe) 240,XXX KM All power Options KA24DE SHIT BROWN INTERIOR When we arrived to take a look at the car we first noticed that it appeared to have been sitting for quite some time. The drivers frame rail was rusty, there were 2 small rust holes around the sunroof, a small hole on the passenger side floor, the car would stall if the gas pedal was not held at 1000RPM or higher and both windows would not roll down. On the plus side the exterior was dentless and completely rust free. Anyways i ended up buying the car for $800. Driving the car home was quite the mission. The car must have died 5 times. As we were reaching Hamilton i started to smell coolant. Sure enough the rad was punched and the car had to be towed 40kms to home. I worked on the car for a few days cleaning and fixing the issues. I got the car to idle correctly and the windows to work. I drove the car around for a couple weeks before i got to the messy work. Next on the list was to fix the drivers side frame rail. I found a homemade replacement rail (which i was going to use), until an OEM one came up for sale on a local forum for $150 so i purchased it and fixed the rail correctly. (cut out all the old rust and re-welded the patch in). I then seam sealed and undercoated the entire car. Once i got the rail done the car felt so much more safe. I could now drive the car and not have to worry about it falling apart after each bump i hit. I drove the car stock for about a month. I then decided it was time to do what all the other kids were doing and slam the living crap out of it. (that i did). I picked up some janky ass coilovers for $100. My buddy Piotr and I spent the day installing them. (Floating s13!!) We then OOOUUUDD and AWWEDD at how low the car was lol. To be honest they didnt ride all that bad despite the fact the car was on the ground.. After a little bit of the driving the car looowww, i decided it was not cool anymore so i picked up some aero skirts, an oem pignose lip, and and oem foha rear lip. At this time i decided to fix another problem with the car which was the rust spots around the sunroof. I cut out the rust and welded in small patches. Ground down the welds and filled with bondo. I then painted the entire roof black. I also grabbed an OEM wingless trunk The car looked a little funny with big skirts and small lips so i bought an aero rear bumper and mounted it. I also gave the car a bath. I drove the car around like this for a few months and had so much fun with it until winter :O. As winter rolled around the REAL work began! LET THE BUILD BEGIN FINALLY

As winter rolled around i put the car in the garage and had the idea in my head to build the entire car. The start of a new good paying job would easily make that a reality for me so i started tearing the car apart that very same day.
As you can the engine bay was a mess. A little rust on the strut towers I started taking all the body panels off. Next one the list was too rip out that piece of crap KA. I ripped out everything in the way in the engine bay. All new brake lines were going to be made, all the power steering. TUBS are on the way so i stripped the entire bay. Out it came and so did everything else

Car looks tasty! hopefully the paint on the roof is plastidip....personally I feel it takes a lot away from the overall cleanliness of the car. But very nice otherwise, I'll have my eye on this. I'm 20 mins down the QE

Update!
sorry i havnt updated this thread in forever.. the cars almost complete these pictures are from a year ago. The pictures are a little whacky because i didnt upload them as i built the car..
Engines out. Cut arches out for tubs and removed everything from the engine bay. Started welding in the tubs. Cut out a few other rust spots and repaired. [IMG]http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj11/nickspelic1/b0158775-babb-4bae-bd9e-3c938031ba4f_zps27cf18be.jpg[/IMG Finished up welding in the tubs and repairing any other rust in the bay. Layed some primer down for now. Picked up a Type-x Sr20det blacktop from a local vendor. Bad pics sorry... Decided to fix the wiring and tuck most of it under my dash Gave the engine bay some paint. Not perfect but it will do for now. Gave my subframe, s14 LCAS, knuckles and control arms a quick shot of paint. Installed front subframe and a few other bits in the engine bay. Picked up some brand new HSD coilovers for a good price. Picked up a set of seats. A buddy of mine built me a cage, Thanks! Cage fit perfect, also installed S14 leather rear seats. Had a set of DMAX rear tail lights shipped in. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps9552f82b.jpg The car sat for a few weeks with no updates. Next i picked up some Origin 30mm front silvia fenders aswell as a complete origin body kit (skirts and rear bumper not pictured..) and dmax hood. Still on the search of Origin 50mm rear over fenders. I also installed the Dmax tail lights. Friend of mine gave me some unknown wing, i believe its off some sort of Hyundai.. either way i like it. This was a tough decision but i ended up cutting my quarters out for my overfenders when they come.. WAY MORE TO COME! DONT UNDERESTIMATE, (Redid the whole engine bay).
