SR How much psi on sr20?

Got stock sr20det, greddy fmic, apexi n1 ehxuast, downpipe, few other things. What psi should i use at the track that would be totally safe? Ive heard 14 is totally safe so let me know waht u think.

I would feel safer staying between 11-12psi. IIRC, the turbo is pretty much being maxed out at 14psi as well as the load on the injectors. Just my opinion, not stating a fact.

With out injectors or at least something to tune your fuel, i would not run much more than 12. With injectors and at least a safc you could run 1 bar not prob.

15

an sr20det comes stock with 7psi as you already probably know, and the stock turbo is safe up until 15 psi, but that is max until power falls off, with much pressure, you would need better injectors and a better blowoff probably

If you are running an aftermarket Pump (walbro, HKS,ETC) it may be pumping more fuel than you want to run..with an adjustable FPR you can set the Pressure to your taste and capabilities...for instance, now I am running 370cc injectors and only 11 PSI of boost, when I upgrade my Turbine and want to run 15 PSI and have 550cc Injectors I will want more fuel, so I can turn up the fuel pressure with the FPR.

Daryl...you're a bit wrong. You will have no need to pump up the base fuel pressure with larger injectors and/or more boost.

I ran the stock FPR with my stock setup, and I also ran the stock FPR with a walbro, 740cc injectors, and a GT2871 @ 21psi.

An adjustable FPR is used on some cars with upgraded fuel pumps (such as DSM's) since the stock FPR can't bypass enough fuel back to the tank, therefore the fuel will build up excess pressure in the rail, and cause you to run rich regardless. In these cases the aftermarket FPR is being used more for the excess flow out the return port than to adjust base FPR.

On most other cars there really is no need to increase base fuel pressure unless you're using it to artificially increase injector size (real sketchy) or for other reasons, which are rare enough that you probably have your own idea (right or not) as to why you're doing it.

damn maybe I wasted 12000 Yen on this FPR then...I was told to get itto keep my PSI at 4 bar...so I can take it off and just use my SAFC II to adjust my fuel? Without even needing the FPR?
Thanks
Oh and I am from albany

100% correct. You'll be good with just an S-AFC and 550's. Sell the FPR

Where in albany? I'm in Troy for school (go to RPI). I'm actually back in las vegas (home) for the time being, but go back east in january. I take it you're overseas military?
