Cant get power to consult port or check codes.
I have a 97 240sx with a sr20det and rs-empathy ecu. since ive owned it its never had power to the consult port or the port on the drivers side to check codes. Ive checked what i thought was everywhere but still no luck finding the issue. I was about to just take it to someone but i decided id post here first. Ive tried searching for answers as well but nothing. thanks in advance. Here is a picture of her.

1st, is the consult port wired up to the ecu harness? If not thats where you start.
Wiring it is not hard, you just have to identify the consult port pins, and wires then find the proper ecu wires. http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/consult_wiring.htm

Get a multimeter and probe the consult port pins and the ecu consult pins. If you are only missing the 12v ign, you can just wire that up to something that is 12v ign. Koeo
Im assuming you know how to use a multimeter and what probing is. After you determine what's not connected or powered, find a source to connect it to, whether it be rx, tx, grnd, clk or power. If you have the ecu pinout its much quicker to locate pins
