Rb25det into s13 1991 coupe or 93 hatch
Hey guys im new to the forums an ik ur all saying, not another rb swap post but yes, im super curious about this swap. not to start things off, i infant do not own an s13 at the moment but i am looking into buying a shell an will most likely do that as the s13 is one of my favorite body styles other then the s15. now, most people has been telling to me go with the sr20det swap as its easy an less pricey. but how many s13 owners put that same engine in as soon as the ka blows? PLENTY! An i really don't want to follow the same group of people who do that. the RB in my opinion is the heart of the skyline an ive always loved the sound of the low roar of the inline 6. now heres the tricky stuff, i got alot of people saying its a pain in the ass to fit the s13 engine bay, i would like some info on what to do if you got any, what i will definitely need, an what is the estimated cost. now i already found the engine im looking at http://www.jdmtigerjapanese.com/niss...ission-93.html
the price seems fair an only about 30k miles on it. now remember, im buying as a shell so there will be no parts from the ka motor, cooling systems ect. so should i go with a duel electric fan or single? or use the stock 240 cooling system. im just simply confused on what to buy. thanks. the help would be greatly appreciated! |

2) it'll cost you around 5500 to do engine alone 3) your stuck with some stock shitty suspension and you're in someone's old ratted out shitbox shell with wiring problems and who knows what else 4) unless you have a dd don't buy one 5) did i mention don't buy one? and to answer your question, it is pretty easy to fit one. you just need to take a hammer to the firewall tunnel and beat it out for the transmission. |

0 to 100 real quick?
Expect to have 10k into it by the time you are done, and that is if you dont run too much knockoff junk and find a lot of issues...which you will. This has been posted countless times since the early 2000's, go read. Or go buy one already swapped for 3k that needs a new wiring harness and some suspension. If you want to go ground up after that, just tear it down and start rebuilding bigger and better. Thats what I did and I think i am already at $15,000 and counting. |

love seeing these new people expecting it to fall together as one would hope. Unfortunatly it doesnt work that way and there is always problems and you put WAY more money then you expected but hey, Gotta pay to play!

A 180SX or Silvia in about a year. You know how long it will be before you drive your SR Swap in shit box 240sx? 2-3 years. |
