Hello all! I started this thread due to me moving from the states to Misawa Japan. I am very excited to be going just because well its JAPAN. So before I go i just wanted to ask, how hard will it be to get my hands on a JDM s14? I plan to buy one but just wanted to know estimate of about how much they charge there, and how hard are they to find? I know i dont get there til 2016, but id rather know before I get there. Thanks ahead for all your help!

Dont get too excited. It is Japan but its BFE Japan. Its very country up here and not a whole lot of sports cars. (Tokyo is 10-12 hours by car using the toll roads, Which can be expensive. By train is 3 hours and tickets are 15,000Y per person)

Its snows a fuck ton up here so most ppl dont drive RWD cars.
They all have 4WD SUV's or Subaru's. and if you dont want your car to rust out before leaving you better not drive it during the winter.

Unless you plan on being stationed here for 5+ years you cant bring an S14 back. Expect to pay 5-10K for a clean S14 Silvia K's. Cars are not cheap anymore especially since the 25 year law is coming up and the Japanese know this and take advantage of that.
You can probably find a cheaper American owned one but chances are its been abused, neglected and beaten the shit out of at some point in its life.
