KA-T with LS2 Coils?

S13 Ka using AEM V2, LS2 coil packs 12573190

Coilpacks wired into standalone, grounds grounded, have power to coils.

What other settings do I need to change? I used the coilpack wizard to select LS2 coils and went to the coils/inj table and switched coils 2,3,4 on.

What's the dwell settings ? I know the GM coils need slightly longer dwell to fire properly

Heres my coil dwell. Assuming the AEM sets it with the coil wizard

Hmm if the value is in fact 4ms that may be too low. Check out this thread from http://ls1tech.com/forums/generation...ime-coils.html
LS1tech. These guys go back and forth about the factory settings and give a general guideline to start with. Adjust the dwell based on your boost and fuel levels for the most optimal spark.

The settings on the AEM Look good save the MAP, Re-sync and permanently save it to the ECM. then double check all of your wiring. based on the screenshots the AEM looks to be setup properly to run. (dwell settings can be fine tuned using an Oscilloscope) I think you have a hardware issue, trace all of your electrical connectors and test that the AEM is outputting a coil signal.

Thanks Juan, i'll have to re-sync while cranking and see what happens.

Also, no need to save it to the EMS, it makes adjustments in real time (in other words all of these changes are permanent until I change them otherwise)

Also, I do have spark, So im assuming wiring isn't the issue

I know the AEM makes changes in real time, but when making hard changes like ignition coil type, injector size, etc it is ALWAYS recommended to save the calibration and do a hard upload to the EMS.
anyway, if you do have spark what is it exactly that you are asking?

For what its worth, so this isn't a dead end thread (cause we all hate those) for whatever reason, the coil to plug relationship isn't 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4. For whatever reason i'm not sure why.

However mine is
cylinder coil
1 - 2
2 - 4
3 - 1
4 - 3

Sounds like your CAS. Is 90* out based on that firing order.

I'm unsure how it could be 90* out, when the car ran perfectly fine before with the distributor. However, maybe the coils have something to do with that?
