So I pulled my fuel pump to replace it with a Walbro. I also wanted my fuel gauge to work again. However when I pulled apart my sending unit "coffin" I found that the "brushes" for the float were toasted. I could probably build a replacement with new brushes. Wondering if there is any interest in something like this??
