As I said before, if the s chassis had the same aftermarket support like classic mustangs, you could build one yourself. Hell, dynacorn sells an entire unibody. Everything else can be ordered out of one catalog if you wanted.
All it would take is a company to buy the rights to reproduce the cars.

Come on. Is seriously? Insult to injury.
Mhttp://jalopnik.com/nissan-is-making-its-cars-fun-again-1794805818

Quote:
In terms of funness: the GT-R, no matter how much more power they throttle out of that engine, is getting old. The Nissan 370Z is in dire need of a replacement, though that’s most likely not going to happen anytime soon. There is a Juke Nismo and Sentra Nismo. And... that’s it, really.

But Nissan, hopefully, is looking to change that by adding to the Nismo lineup. Speaking with Automotive News, Takao Katagiri, CEO of Nismo, said, “Demand for these types of cars is about 5 to 10 percent of every market. We see potential in the expansion of categories.”

He added that “Nismo will begin targeting lifestyle vehicles beyond the Nismo mainstays in sedans, coupes and hatchbacks.”

By the time the early 2020s roll around, the automaker hopes to grow Nismo sales from 15,000 last year to 100,000. That is very ambitious!

Achieving this will include Nismo-ing a bunch of stuff, including crossovers, minivans and pickups. Yes, pickups, said Katagiri, for us cowboys living here in the United States.

Imagine a Nissan Titan Nismo, though, with that awesome black and red trim with a beefier engine and performance suspension system.

Nismo would do this properly, too: the Automotive News story reported that Nissan wants to create Nismo performance dealerships in the U.S. and offer performance driving school to customers.

I’m curious if that will mean an off-road course for the Nismo truck customers.

I read that earlier and just laughed... Nissan has become an empty and pathetic husk of a once amazing car manufacturer!

And so will I, as I'm sure most of us in here would. But the same group that has made such abominations like the juke and the cube popular will also help popularize this nismo crap.

This maybe the vodka talking, but what if Nissan is trying to pad its budget with these "Nismo" grocery getters, then drops an S16 kind of like how GM did the SS?

Could it be? Some good news for us passionate car folks?

http://jalopnik.com/small-sports-car...1794872563/amp

Quote:
According to the Automotive News Data Center, U.S. sales of compact sports cars are up 3.4 percent in 2017, while overall car demand is off 12 percent, including an 11 percent slump in April.

The report goes on, saying the Mazda Miata is killing it right now, with sales up 35 percent this year. Even the Miata’s sister, the Fiat 124, is “selling in steady volume,” and the BMW Z4 and Toyota 86 have seen their volumes jump a bit for 2017, too.
Even if it's nothing concrete, it's probably the first good news of the coupe front that I've heard...in YEARS.

I still really like my FRS. But if Nissan ever did decide to drop some form of "S-chassis" I would be interested. I think the Miatas are nice, but I'll always be in the 2+2 hardtop market.

Happy Mothers Day. Celebrating by reminding us of Nissan's worst abortion ever by pointing you to the baby daddy's Instagram page. Since he's been posting pics of it I guess Lennon and I don't have to keep our "source" on the IDX a secret any longer.

https://www.instagram.com/undb1980/?hl=en

I've had some chats with him about the car after it was axed. He was surprised as the rest of us. He was way more cool about it (at least publicly) that I was.

Man I'm still in love with this car.

Some positive news. The Z4 will have a manual. I think that makes it more than likely the Supra will have a manual.

It has to be turbo... Why else would the front bumper ducts be taped off? Could possibly be exposing an oil cooler on one side and a side mount intercooler on the other side.

Wouldn't the mule need to have those open to function properly? The tape is just probably hiding a mild fascia redesign.
