Hey guys,
I've been dealing with this issue for some time now. I have an s13, and no leg room. Does anyone know a way to increase my leg room for driving. Do I need new seats, can I move the seat rails back safetly? Please let me know if you guys have any ideas. |

Geez... how tall are you. I have gotten compaints about headroom, but not legroom in my car. It is an s14, but there can't be THAT much of a difference in legroom.

I'm pretty short, 5'9", but as Jeff said, legroom has never been as big an issue as headroom. I feel it's the same way with the s13. All I can say is you must be pretty #### tall <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

I'm only 6'2", and I can fit in my car, that's not the problem. However I do feel like I am in the position for riding go karts sometimes (especially when wearing bigger soled shoes).
I was hoping I'm not the only one. |

My bf's 6'4" and doesn't have much of a problem with legroom, because he's biatching more about headroom (I have a sunroof which takes up about 1-1.5" of headroom which he needs!). It does look like his knees are almost in the dash, though. Our cars were definitely not meant for really tall people. I'm 5'10" and I have to have the sunroof open for me to have a racing helmet on! My bf told me the next time I buy a car, he's riding in it to make sure he fits! haha

As much as the s13 and s14's are similar cars. I am not trying to dis any of you guys whom have left me replys, but I was hoping to hear from someone who owns an s13.
Just becaues I think the interiors are set up differently. |

I'm pretty short at 5'8"ish, so I don't have much of a problem with head or leg room. However, I do notice my legs are bent up a bit more than in other cars. I could see where that could put a tall person's legs into the dash board b/c sometimes I hit my knee on the steering wheel column when I'm shifting. It's like the floor is kinda raised or something.
I have a lot of headroom, though...I think more than, or at least equal to, what my Accord had. |

ok well you could do some things to improve this one would be like you said to move the seat rails back. not only would this improve leg room but it would also improve weight distrebution (wow my spellings bad) a lower seat might improve both leg room and head room. or i might be just full of shit

moving the seat rails wont do a thing because the seat already goes all the way backseat
i would say just take out the seat and drive from the back seat LOL (Edited by my240likenoother at 12:40 am on Sep. 1, 2001) |

I've thought about getting the rails moved back, but how safe is it??? And how much would they charge?
And the way the car is right now, I seat 3, maybe. Thanks for the input. |

If you try really hard, for a really long time, you can get the seat to be in a position which will give you enough leg room (I'm 5'3, so it's sometimes hard to adjust my seat so that I can work the clutch the right way and have enough room for my knees, so I know what you're talking about). Good luck!

I'm 6'5" tall and have plenty of leg room in 95 240SX. If you lean the seat back then headroom isnt really a issue either. And as for sex in the car, I can personally attest to the fact that it can be done. That is if want to bad enough. I did.
