There is no advantage to stock cams anywhere. Well, maybe below 3000 rpm, but at that point who cares.

I'm putting some HKS 272's in tomorrow and having the car re-tuned Friday. Car is making 350-360 @18psi currently. .86 turbo, wonder what kinda power she'll make.

Here's my custom GReddy FMIC I was talking about. Almost finished. Vibrant Venjan clamps on the TB and compressor outlet. Added about 2ft of piping vs the PBM HMIC but ill still keep the response and have much cooler AITs.

When I switch to E85 Ill be well into the 400whp range with my 2871 haha.

24psi with a lot of timing. 14 got me 310 with retarded timing. So I'm hoping 24 landscape at 410+

I am also on a stock intake and exhaust manifold, I'm sure I'd be much closer to 400 if they were aftermarket. And above 400whp on e85

If this is what you truly make form your BBs14 turbo? You should be cranking up the boost to 16psi then dyno again. If you are at 330 at 16psi(i was at 18psi) you should have no problem making 400 from a gt2871r, or a gtx2867r.
I still have a stock intake manifold, and running a stock exhaust manifold with TiAL v44

14 to 24 on e85, again missing those baby steps.
I'm replacing my stock head gasket and studs, then I'm gonna shoot for 23psi on 93oct, which should pull me close to 430. And if that's the case and I still have a working engine, there's one gas station by me that serves e85, I might play around with it.

PS
Somebody from V P Racing Fuels Inc said they would love to see what my car make with their fuels, they're supposed to be making something similar or better than e85. If it doesn't require all the extra hubbub that e85 does, I'll play with that.
Currently for me e85 is too much of a commitment.

Not for a fully built engine that can handle it. Lol

It's not like I'm going straight to 24. Tuners gonna take the baby steps on the dyno

I'd be surprised if 93 octane could handle 24lbs of boost.

Edit: Nvm, thought you were talking about pump. Detonation is still an.issue for built motors.

My car put down 411hp 386tq at 18psi last week after the 272 cams went in. AFR's a little on the rich side too. Gonna drive it around and nistune it some tomorrow for street/cruising.

Having a weird idle problem too, the car will idle low and dip down under 500rpms when coasting in neutral. Then when I come to a complete stop the car will idle up to 900-1000rpms like it should. It affects my brakes and PS which is annoying, anyone have any suggestions? Gonna check the iacv tomorrow.

Does anyone in here want to trade a .64 exhaust housing for a .86? They are interchangeable. There isn't anything wrong with mine. Just very light surface rust from sitting on my shelf.

We have 91octane down here in CA. I could barely get away with 16psi on this shitty gas, that's why I'm on 14. Let alone 24 lol

E85 can handle 24psi. Easy.

This tells me everything I need to know about you,and your tuner! just saying! The fact is you think 1psi is going to make a difference between the turbo pumping hot air and cold air!
Please don't argue with me, there's no need! I'll assume that answers my other question as well.

Lol doesn't surprise me you decide to go being a fucking prick for no reason I can run 16 if I wanted to even 18 but the fact of the matter is 14 is a good comfortable number that doesn't make it work hard and thats where I left it so before you go trolling take a chill pill there's no need to be a dickhead .

No, 93 octane.

Figured out the idle issue. Snipped the speed wire that runs from cluster back to the ecu, now idling smooth while coasting. Still having an issue when pushing in the clutch after giving it some throttle and the car dying.

Dyno graph for this? 411hp 386tq on 18psi seems high, that's some nice torque you got there.

24psi would probably blow spark out on the stock ignition too.

Agreed - that's an exceptional amount of torque. Wonder if that is to tire or to estimated flywheel.

I'm on Splitfires right now. Don't trust them though. Gonna switch to LSx packs. Spark for days!
