leaky injector here for more leaky questions
So here i am once again needing help.
I found two 240's now one is stock...270k on body 130k on engine with no papers 1996 240sx here is one that seems to built for drifting but has pretty reputable parts...im guessing anyway, nothing sticks out "EBAY" but again its modded...not to heavy but is...Still lots of potential. Compression test...lil drive and should be good no? 1992 s13 240sx with s14a sr20det |

For the S14: Why the hell does it have a ghetto ass push start button? This might be a wiring nightmare to undo if this shit is mickey moused to shit. Keep looking, I found my stock S14 for $2500. I wouldnt pay more than $3k for one, dont care how clean it is.
For the S13: reputable parts? What the hell are Enduratech coilovers? Welded diff for a daily will kill you, specially since this is gonna be your first RWD car, or first car EVER!!! I'd be weary of who rebuilt the engine and why the hell it blew to begin with. |

I have the same feelings about the S14, that wiring is going to be kinda nasty. Maybe the car was stolen or maybe the guy lost the keys.
And the S13, you are buying someone elses project. Rust might not be as big an issue as the work done to the car as long as it has lived away from the coast for most of its life.

Will it though... I mean yes very easy to slide but I'm not gonna boost it every light... I understand the wary behavior behind the diff... But still not impossible It did not blow? Where did you see that? Do you mean the new parts... O2...etc? Did not ask.. The mods really don't seem to shady... I mean tuned... Rev limiter.... New parts.... Seems more like safer precautions were set in place but hey I'm a leaky injector, so what do I know. |

Maybe that's why he got new parts? What like o2...etc? He blew it while drifting? Anyway he says he daily it and I asked for papers on anything and it pissed him off, and and quote '"if you don't know if the car is by looking at it then it's not for you" Yup that's me leaky injector but anyway I'm really not speed racer and have taken cautions along looking and really his attitude and some.... Mods... Seems to be more reasonable and trustworthy. I have no idea, but but that's all my theory |

ACL race bearings...you dont just replace bearings if it didnt blow. Also, using a SAFC is not tuning. Rust wise, that chassis doesnt look bad. Considering its an S13 and the battery tray looks intact is a good sign that the car is fairly rust free.

I mean wouldn't a compression test answer most of this? Yeah the battery was moved though no? I still I see your point. Thanks., Ltd reason I'm asking so much and not going to look is because It's hour and half away |

Honestly, if you're really considering it, I'd offer $4k. The ebay brand coilover, welded diff, amount of tires that diff will eat, the window motor, pick the paint apart since its a repaint and double check the compression.

IDK about the coilovers being endura tech as you can't buy them on there, unless I am blind. They seem to have a devoted following in the WRX scene but that does not mean much, I would not expect much out of them though.
Projects are not bad if you have a few of them under your belt or are prepared to have the car down for a while if it has issues, but just jumping into the world I would find a clean stock chassis and mod it as you see fit. Having DD a stripped out RB for a few years its really not all its cracked up to be, but maybe thats just my older age talking now.

I just laugh when people put the mileage of an imported motor. unless you have papers with the exact mileage, shouldn't say it has 55xxx on it when in reality it probably doesn't.
if this is your first car, why do you want to buy a pre swapped car? yes itll save you money but your also buying a project of someone else. also, doesn't seem like he dailys it since it has no tags or anything to show its a daily driver. also a daily driven car wouldn't have all those parts replaced in the motor... |

^^^WTF is a Holley Header, APX piggy back ECU? Either this guy bought this car from somebody else or just have no clue about the car. Get a compression test and offer the guy $3k, might get lucky.

Yeah leave that one alone, you don't need a car from a guy that hostile, its a fucking turd through and through or he would answer your questions.
Also I think the red cars owner means Apexi Power Fc, I have heard that a few times. He either stole the car or came up on it somehow which it feels like because of the title containing Datsun. Probably an old dude who still harbors hate for Nissans.

I'm thinking SAFC since he said piggy back. But either way, if the engine is not knocking and nothing else is wrong with it other than the crappy paint and decluttering the engine bay, it wouldnt be a bad buy for $3-3.5k.
