ACS Nissan Challenge round 5.

Oil drain hose that is fairly new decided to tear so and destroyed my splitter going over some rumble strip but overall a good event and won class 2.

Thank you guys!

Has anyone else experienced oil return hose tearing? Only thing I can think of is; I put stress on that hose when I was putting on the turbo assembly.. But it appears to be very clean cut around where it was clamped.

Is it super close to the steering and tearing? I've seen that happen.

Turbo-to-engine is fixed, there's no movement there.

use something other than a worm clamp. they have a sharp edge on them that can cut the hose. try using an OEM spring clip, or the OEM wire clamp.

Good point! bought some aba clamps.

Also, if anyone is adamant on using a clutch fan like me, KA fan clutch works on sr engines. pepboys, autozone, etc have them in stock.

I swear I've tried to install a KA fan clutch before and it was not working out. Weird, maybe it was a fan and clutch.

Oil drain definitely tore from the worm drive clamp. Good call on the ABA.

Yeah fan is definitely different! Cheapest and safest way to cool the engine IMO.

Oil drain was since changed out to AN fitting. thanks for the comment!

it was that white s/c 370z. he was having issues with some of his couplers and left after the first session. Kinda sucks we didn't plaques like everyone else did, though.

Battery, i may have missed it in the thread, but what did you use for ducting for your air filter? i want to try something like to draw more cool air to my oil cooler.
Also, take more pictures of the new paint. I'm loving the updates!

Oh! I do remember that Z being towed away.

They did that to me last year. I think they do it on purpose as a bad running joke. Lol!

I think he bought some tubing that is for directing air into an area you want. Looks like the the dryer tubing for the house but its made specifically for automotive use.

Jake, search "3" duct hose racing" on ebay.
