s13 Brake help!? thanks

When I push down on the brake it feels spongy and I bled the brakes and took it for a spin and the brakes still don't work. I have a s13 hatch with a s14 brake booster that was already in my car...any ideas...booster bad? Thanks

Does it go to the floor? Can you lock them up? Does it make any noise?

Yeah it goes to the floor and when I drove it and pressed down on it I can hear some noise coming from the calipers I think

sounds like your master brake cylinder is gone, check for leaks on the lines before replacing it because its not an easy task

here's another thing we did, he took off the vacuum line for the booster and blew into it and held it shut and I stepped on the pedal and it actually got harder like it's suppose to...do you think it's still the master cylinder, because I don't see any leaks? but I'll look again for leaks

I think I'm going to try to bench bleed the master cylinder now, and if that still doesn't work then I'll replace it. What master cylinder can I use? only s13...or can I use s14, z32, etc...?

You can use the master cylinder off any car you named.
Also a Z31, but not a q45. Only the s14 or z32 will be the same size or larger, the rest are smaller I believe except for maybe the z31 which is a little bigger.
