KA24DE intake manifold vacuum coolant hose location diagram
I took some pictures of the vacuum/coolant connections on my intake manifold and block during my rebuild and tried ID'ing them best I could. If you guys can perhaps look them over for errors.
I'd also like to discuss what can be obsoleted for best performance/troubleshooting (less is better) and possibly add that to this thread as well. I will comment what I think is necessary to not connect when going for the slimmest intake install under each picture, please leave feedback as well. manifold 1 1 - vacuum - IACV; connects to intake 2 - vacuum (advise) 3 - PCV - connects to #6 in pic. 'block connections' 4 - coolant - throttle? 5 - coolant - throttle? 6 - coolant - connects to radiator top 7 - coolant - goes to throttle body 8 - coolant - coolant - connects to #3 in pic. 'block connections' 9 - coolant - temperature sensor I am not sure where connection 2 goes, I think I can block this. 1 and 3 are IACV and PCV and must remain. I believe 4 and 5 is a straight pass through for throttle body coolant and I will leave these alone (possibly block to keep debris out). 6 will stay for coolant, 7 is throttle body and will be covered, and 8 will stay as well. 9 will have a sensor put in place. block connections 1 - coolant - connects to heater core outlet 2 - coolant - to radiator bottom 3 - coolant - connects to #8 in pic. 'manifold 1' 4 - oil - pressure sensor 5 - knock sensor 6 - PCV - connects to #3 in pic. 'manifold 1' 1,2 and 3 will all remain as they are part of engine cooling / passenger heating. As well, 4, 5 and 6 are essential. manifold 2 1 - IACV pipe 2 - vacuum - FPR 3 - vacuum - brake booster Must keep all. throttle 1 - coolant. 2 - coolant. Will cover both connections to prevent debris from getting in. If all this is correct, it seems this will be very simple. I will have; -an IACV line from manifold to intake -PCV line from manifold to block -2 radiator hoses -coolant hose from manifold to block -coolant hose from block to heater (2) Does this all sound about right? |
