car is still up for sale. the only thing thats holding me back is that im waiting for some paperwork from my friend. the car has texas plates but was originally registered and bought from the dealer in california. since my friend went to college in texas, he had to register the car there while he was still making payments. i dont know what happened. i assumed that my friend should of got a new pink slip but i was told that he never got a new one. all he got was a TEXAS REGISTRATION RECEIPT which he scanned and sent to me through the internet. ive already given the car a smog check and it passed. if anyone knows how to sort this situation out please help me. thanks. i would truly appreciate it. if anyone is interested in the car the price is negotiable.

I'm interested in the car for my girlfriend. However you need to clear the title issue.
You can ask your friend to send the title signed over. If he does not have the title, then ask for lost title replacement from TX. might take a few weeks. |

K! so finally everything is cleared up. its so stupid because i didnt even have to deal with texas dmv. the title was never under texas, but was only registered there. all i needed was the texas registration receipt from the previous owner which i have now to show when the car was last registered. the car is still up for sale. ive had about 7 BUYERS already so if you're one of them, i can finallly let the car go.
