Well car is off to paint!! Can't wait to get this thing back! Dropped off the rear calipers off at powdercoating, and a bunch of parts showed up and I picked up something to help my future power goals!!
Pulled as much out of the bay as I possibly could!! Loaded up ready to go! Jdm z32 rhd brake master to make the brembos work as they should! Digital auto climate control! I have auto but not digital! Work sent me to New York, and I had a buddy that was on my way there that I've been wanting to buy his spare Rb25 for a long time since I knew it was a good running motor, so I was able to finally pick it up! Big plans for this motor after the car is painted! Unloaded and in the garage next to the current swap Got bored and slide the cx racing and on3 turbo into place, most likely won't be using them but I wanted to see Pulled valve covers off to see inside, very pleased! So of course I tested the rb26 covers! I still have to drill out timing cover then send them off to powdercoating! That's about all for now, the louvers are at a friends house checking to make sure they light up, if they don't he will be fixing them and making them work correctly, and not much more as the car is sitting at the body shop! |

Well got a decent update!! The car is been at the body shop for a while now, the car is 100% straight, primed and ready for paint, the bay and jams were just painted this morning!! I finally decided on a color, sorry but not longer going to be two tone!! She's getting a fresh coat of 07/08 Nissan 350z Nismo pearl white, pikes peak white, and I picked up a new daily driver, since I sold the srt-4 and decided to paint the Silvia I have been putting miles on my 08 zx10r when it's nice out, but I had a coworker looking to buy a bike and he decided to buy mine kinda... he's had a car in his garage that hasn't been driven in over a year because he just lost interest in it. So I traded him my bike plus 3k for it!!! 06 Chrysler 300c SRT-8 28k miles with a fully built motor and a procharger!! Makes 660whp and 590wtq! Yes I got this thing for about 8 grand if you count the price I paid for the bike!!! It's worth 15k bone stock all day!! It's an amazing daily driver and stupid fast and obnoxious!! I love it!!
So here are some pics of Silvia First pic of got of the body work Engine bay media blasted Engine bay in paint! Waiting to be cleared! All cleared!! Then the 300 srt All of the chrome stick on trim shit has been ripped off, door handles and pillars are nice and black again! |

how much are you being charged for the paint/body work?
so the rb26 valve covers are a direct fit on the 25? are you going to sell that cx manifold?

Slight update!!
Got the rear Sti brembo back from powdercoating, waiting on the brembo stickers for the calipers First shot of the whole car in base/clear coat Waiting on him to finish the bumpers and skirts and install all the glass with the new moldings I bought. Wish he wasn't super busy so I could have my car back, but I'd rather him take his time and I can still enjoy the srt-8 Last edited by Climb385; 05-29-2017 at 03:04 AM.. |

I honestly have no clue yet, but he's doing it the right way, every stationary glass was removed, doors, fenders, trunk, hood etc was all removed, all jams painted, then all panels edged in then installed and whole car was painted, I have all new moldings for the whole car, hell I have $1500 tied up in just moldings and emblems
I told him to keep me under $4000 for paint job |

Well I got a little more update!! Should be picking up the car this week!!!
Found a brand new set of pillar trims!!! Still in the boxes And I bought a mint set of bricks off of kriskouki And I had oem aero vents, my left side was damaged, found a guy selling a set of oem ones that the right one was damaged, but left one was mint, so of course I had to buy them so I had a complete mint set!! And picked up a square trunk lock, wasn't a fan of the oval one Should be picking up car any day now!! Last night I dropped off all the new trims, emblems and badges so he can have it all ready to go! When I saw the car all he had to do was paint the wing, and install the rear valances! I can't wait to get this thing back!! |

Well he sent me a few more pics last night! I get a text saying "this is what you want right!?" Then this picture shows up!!
He has the perfect pinstripe that fills the body line perfectly!! The new moldings looks soo badass on there!!! As of last night at around 11pm all he had todo was finish the black pinstripe, install the wing, and fully mount the side skirts and the valances. Said car should be off to the detailer today, I can't wait, going to pick it up hopefully Monday or Tuesday night, then comes the task of throwing it all back together! |

Depends on which ones? The big order was early this year, like march, I know for a fact I got the last rear window and front window ones in the country, the door ones he said there are a few floating around. As for the b pillars I found a guy in Texas with both of them brand new

Well the car is finished! I've been driving it around, she looks amazing, I'm so happy I went with the pikes peak white, and all new moldings and trim, seriously looks like a brand new car! Had the car back for 3 days and she was up and running with the rb again. Drove it for the first time with no hood, no headlights, or front bumper, finished buttoning it all up and she looks amazing, actually just installed and wired up the Silvia window louvers last night, those things are pretty!!!
I can't post pics anymore Bc Photobucket is being stupid and wants me to pay $400 to be able to use 3rd party hosting, so if anyone has any other way to post pics let me know!! For now you can check my Instagram @cory385 or add me on Facebook Cory Crewl |

these are pretty cool oh and i purchased a Tomei turbo elbow for stupid cheap, waiting on that to show up, figured since im doing that i might as well do my whole exhaust, so a mckinney downpipe, tomei test pipe and HKS Hi-Power catback is on its way, found a sweet deal on a used mckinney downpipe |
