New to this forum....BUT MY CAR WON'T START!
Hey guys I'm new here but I need help so here goes.
I recently ran out of gas earlier this week and replaced the battery and got plenty of gas. It started and has been running pretty good (i do know that the engine is probably running on 5 cylinders, don't know why) but then I tried to start it today and it wouldn't. It started at first, then didn't really get the full rumble that it usually has and sort of stalled out. After that it would not start it starts to crank but doesn't ignite or something. I found out that if I held the key long enough it would start, albeit slowly, but this time it would not start at all. Was going to take it to a mechanic to look at the engine this weekend, but now I need a way to drive it to the shop now. Any thoughts on why it may not be starting? Everything electrical works. (lights, tones, primer, etc.) |

ok first off what car do you drive? if its a 240 and its stock then 5 cylinders is kind of impossible unless it has a swap of some kind.....check your ignitor chip, your sparkplugs or coilpacks(might be damaged),it could also be your starter or alternator... just a couple of guesses here
