WHERE to find this SR20DET alternator tensioner bolt?!
I have looked EVERYWHERE.
Mine randomly snapped the other day when I went to tighten my belt due to a slight screech on startup.. So I thought I would just be able to find one on Ebay or something.. Boy was I wrong.. After searching for days I have learned that this might just be the most difficult part I have ever looked for!... I have found a handful of pictures that people have posted with the same issue: One in good condition: The rare schematic picture that I believe was taken from a program called Nissan Fast: However the part number returns 0 results.. One unlucky fellow: A very similar design that appears to be off one of the KA's? Sad A rare glimpse of the bolt in action: This is the one that is actually on the normal DOHC KA's Mine.. snapped So I have looked around for possible alternatives like the Lancers/Misubishi/Dodge/Crystler ones,, but the studs are all too big. (2mm to be precise.. 10mm vs 8mm) .. but perfect length: So I'm down to just finding someone that has one and wants to sell it to me, or just having one made.... Or possibly trying to cut off the stud on mine and welding a new one on.. Anyways, the KA one is working for now.. It's about 1/16th of an inch kicked out because the bolt holes aren't on the same axis.. |

You might even wanna try a junkyard, many Nissans have interchangeable parts, try one off a sentra or even a pick up hardbody.

BUT YEAH! I actually HAD that bolt pulled up "11716-52F00" ... and found that first, but the picture wasn't even close so I assumed it wasn't right... But after looking at Google Images of "11716-52F00" I see it appears to be a newly made one...... so I guess I'll give that a shot! .. I knew the part number was 11716 I just couldn't find the rest of it. EDIT: OKAY I ordered the last one FR Sport had in stock. We'll see how it goes!... Hopefully that's the right one lol. EDIT2: Here's some juicy photos for anyone that stumbles upon this thread wondering what the new one should look like: Another sad case What a beauty: |
